Hotel charges $1000 for omelet
It's not made of gold, but an omelet on the menu at Norma's restaruant in Le Parker Meridien, a swanky Manhattan hotel, will set you back $1000, plus tip. The omelet, which debuted May 5 and is billed as the "Zillion Dollar Frittata," has six eggs, a lobster, and 10 ounces of sevruga caviar. The restaurant pays $65 for an ounce for the caviar. No one has ordered the omelet yet.

Well , six eggs are a lot...divided between at least two people...that's only $500 per person!:)

Bon appetit!;)

Well, anyone who buys this has more money than sense!::yes::

Saw this on Regis and Kelly.:o WHO would want Lobster and Cavier for Breakfast? OH, thats right, RICH people!

Actually I love an omelet with fish roe (all caviar is is fish roe) Prefer tobiko or masago(Japanese) to expensive Russian caviar though. Lobster sounds good as well. There is no way that I would pay $1000 for an omelet.

I wonder if it goes up $00.35 if you add cheese?
