Got cruise docs today and FREE UPGRADE!!!!!

OM MY GOSH! I am so doing the happy dance!!!
We leave in 2 weeks for the Beach club for 5 nites and then off to our cruise!
We booked a Cat 11 and got bumped up to Cat 8 - room 6522

I HAVE A PORTHOLE!!!!!

I was starting to freak out about not getting the doc's and just emailed DU last nite to check the status and poof! today they arrived. And thank goodness cause my DH has been bugging me for the last week, "Did we get em yet, did we get em??"

We are on deck 6.
Has anyone stayed in this room before? My ds's 12 and 9 are dying to know if there is a pull down bed in there.

Did I mention how excited I am?? I love unexpected upgrades.

However if it sleeps four there must be a hidden ceiling bed, only Cat. 4's have the murphy bed. They certainly would not have four people in a cabin that sleeps only three. Congrats on your upgrade! Have a great trip!

We stayed in 6520 last August and loved it! One caveat, though. The hallway is a little crowded because you have inside cabins directly across the hall and they wrap around to another hallway (look at deck plans). But it was a very convenient location, especially when you want to go to the Walt Disney Theatre.

P.S. 6520 had a pull down bed. My two boys, who were 13 and 9 at the time - took turns on top!

Do you mind me asking if you were assigned a stateroom beforehand or did you book a Cat 11 guarantee?

We booked a CAT 11 guarantee thru Dreams unlimited.

We were hoping that since it was getting so close to leaving and we still didn't have our doc's that our chances were maybe increased of getting an upgrade.

Don't know why it happened but thrilled that it did!!
