Got Cindy's - It was EASY - a few Tips...

I was able to get a PS for Cindy's this morning, and I was surprised how easy it was. This was my first attempt, so I am still in shock. Thanks to all of the great tips that were posted here...it really helped.

Here's what I did:

Started calling at 5:55 (6:55 EST).

Hit redial until I got the recording that indicated that WDW-DINE was open.

I called the day before so I knew what the voice recordings said, so I knew which buttons to hit to skip the recorded messages. For me it was 1-2-1-1. It saves precious time, and you avoid the survey.

I ignored the very pleasant CM when she said her name, etc, and yelled Cindy's breakfast, date, anytime, # people. Just that fast we were done, other than taking credit card info, etc.

I hope this helps others hoping to go to Cindy's!

Just curious what number you called to have to hit that many numbers to finally get through? They must have changed things again recently?

I've never had a problem either. Except when trying to get a PS AFTER the 60-days out, of course (Now 90 days!!) I love the challenge! Of course my trips are usually in August, so I don't think there was as much demand as at, say Christmastime or Spring Break!

Thanks for the messages. I was prepared for a challenge, as well as disappointment, and I got lucky.

I called 1-407-WDW-DINE. You may have to listen through part of the first message about heavy call volume, but then press 1. The last 2 numbers (1-1) are responses to a survey, so press fast to skip those messages. It saves a lot of time. I would suggest calling that number a day or two before your PS date (90 days in advance) to become familiar with the recordings. By the way, by starting at 5:55 CST (6:55 EST), I could tell immediately when they switched from the "we're not open" message to the "heavy call volume." I also never got a busy signal. By starting a little early, I did not waste time trying to determine if my clocks were on the same time as WDW.
