How in the world can I get Cinderella breakfast and Le Cellier lunch reservations, yet for Sci Fi they are booked all day mid week in June calling 90 days ahead? Don't get me wrong, I was only going for the sake of the children being entertained so I am NOT heartbroken...just confused as to how I could easily get the "hot tickets" so to speak, but not the place that most ppl think has average at best food....thoughts?:confused3

Star Wars weekends in June seem to have DHS & it's restaraunts busier than usual......

I think there are about three threads going right now mentioning how hard it is to get into Sci Fi for people making June ADR's. I think a couple of things are at play. First of all, if you are going on a day when Fantasmic is going that may make it very difficult. Now that Fantasmic only runs three times per week, on the days it does, that park will be mobbed. Also, Star Wars weekends are making weekends at DHS busy (I know you said mid week).

Sci Fi is a favorite of ours for the atmosphere and the burgers and I used to be able to get into that so easily. Not so much anymore. In October I had to cancel our ADR and was unable to make another one at any other time for our trip. So maybe its getting more popular!

I'll add that I got in for Tuesday, June 16th but had to settle for a 4:05 ADR for dinner. I took it and I am glad I did! Sorry your didn't luck out, maybe just keep trying??

I got a Sci Fi ADR for June 17, but it's for 11:10am! Which was fine with me b/c my family likes to do the first seating as it is not crammed with people.

I didn't know that it was a hard ADR to get for dinner though. My husband would have been bummed. This is the only place he requests for every trip. I did my ADR's this morning and now I understand why there was a pause when I asked for Sci Fi...the CM said "ummm just a sec...there's been a few problems with Sci Fi reservations recently..." now I know why!

I also heard that the change in the Fantasmic schedule has played havoc with the ADRs at DHS.

change sucks.

:guilty:

:goodvibes

I didn't get Sci Fi either. I asked for anytime June 15. Booked solid.

Also, the Fantasmic Dinner Package at all 3 locations were booked completely. I ended up with 50's Prime Time. I have heard good things about that one. I haven't been there in years. We shall see.....

I wouldn't be extremely disappointed about this one. We ate here and after the first 2 items I chose were gone for the night, I was not a happy person. Not to mention we had to wait about 45 mins to an hr for our table here. So to say the least, I'm not a fan...

Wow, I feel like a terrible person for writing off a restaraunt for one bad experience... :confused3

:lmao: join the crowd!

I was told "at least you got LeCellier." Yeah, but only my husband wants LeCellier. The kids only care about eating in a car. For my dd, that even ranks over eating with princesses. :rotfl2:

I was able to get a "car" for six on June 13 @ 3pm. We are a party of ten, but like you posted, my DD9 only cares for eating in the car, even over the princesses. so, I told my family that four of them were going to have to eat elsewhere!! Oh Well, what can you do?? :confused3 :goodvibes

Star Wars weekends might be the reason.

I think it's also difficult with the car seating. Some cars are for parties of 4 and other 6. There are also tables, and most people want a car. Many times when I called, they wanted to split us up.

We had to dine there at 11:30 am this past Nov. The only time I could get the week of Thanksgiving. :confused3

Keep trying, you never know. Someone will cancel. Especially try the day of.

Personally, I don't think your missing anything and would take it as good sign that you didn't get in! :rotfl2:
