Got BWV for November

We were able to change our reservations from OKW to BWV at the 7 month window. Just a couple of weeks ago, everything was all booked at Boardwalk. Wonder what happened to open so many rooms up because not only us, but my sister and daughter were also able to get into the Boardwalk?

We're still on auto-confirm for BWV in Nov. Although I love OKW (we're going next month for a week!), we're having guests in Nov and BWV are more convenient for what we want!

I think a lot of BWV folks might be switching to VWL to try it out (or even to OKW!)at their 7-month windows, so that may be why things are just becoming available now...kinda like a big game of musical chairs, isn't it??

Here's a BWV owner who switched to VWL beginning 4-29 Can't wait to try it although my heart will always be at the Boardwalk.

MaryAnnDvc, we all booked studios. The first day we called, they had 4 days available out of 6, for 2 of the rooms. The next day, they had all the fill-in days for those 2 rooms, plus 6 days for the 3rd room. And each time we called, they pushed that they had availability at VWL for the whole time. Good luck!

Geez Milo, I was so distraught about my situation ...not getting BWV for our whole week...I didn't realize how harsh my first post sounded until I just re-read it, and I didn't even congratulate you! Congratulations! It is good to hear that these things work out.

I'm going to call tomorrow and book VWL as a back up, and see what happens with the waitlist for BWV. You'll probably all hear me scream with delight if the waitlist comes through, but...I'll post it anyway.

Milo that's great!!- We got in for Halloween & a few days in Nov. at BWV too yesterday- finally! I called a month ago & they were booked up too. BWV is one of our home resorts, but I never can get when I want( I never call at the 11 mo. window -my fault...) so I always end up at OKW when at WDW, which we really like too. I am so excited! We got a one bed. preferred view.

Now I just need tickets to Mickey's not so scary Halloween party & we're set before our cruise!

FYI - MS told me that Bus service for DCL will cease effective 6/28/01 at the Boardwalk & will start 7/1 at WL. MS said you will need to take a taxi to Y&B for pick up! I was surprised to hear this.

I will be at the BWV starting Sunday,11/25 thru the 29th. I wanted to go on Saturday but refuse to use all those points for one night. I compromised and used Priceline to get the Wyndham Palace for Saturday night for $50. It works out great being right across the street for DD and PI.

That's pretty good Bigcat. I can never get anything through Priceline. I've bid a lot higher than $50 but still no luck, so we usually stay at on of the All Star Resorts. We've stayed at the Wyndam when it was still the Buena Vista Palace and it's a really nice place.

And MaryAnnDVC, I didn't think there was anything wrong with your first post at all. Hope you get the days you want.
