I was singing Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah today. My 7 month window arrived and I called MS this afternoon (forgot to call this morning  ) to try to change my SSR to BW for Oct. The rep said they had a 2BR, but only in preferred view, no standard. PERFECT!! I was going to ask for preferred view anyway.
So I  around the room when I hung up! The rep made me very happy today :)

The trip is a mother/daughters trip. It will be me, mom and 2 DSis. It will be there first time staying DVC. We're going to F&W festival, which is why I was hoping to get BW. Mom has been to WDW with me before. Her favorite part is going to JellyRolls. Not bad for an 81 year old.

My sisters are another story. They're not too big on WDW. Expecially the one who took her kids in July and didn't want to wait in the lines. Duh! They're not big on rides anyway. So I'm trying to set up other things for us to do. I was thinking about afternoon tea at the GF. We'll go to F&W. I think we're going to get the dining plan to try out some of the sit-down restaurants.

We'll be there 6 days and probably hit the parks 3-4 days (I keep telling them there's more than just rides). Fantasmic, B&B, etc.

Any other suggestions on things to do? Thought about La Nouba, but my one sis saw one of the other shows and wasn't really thrilled.

Congrats on your ressie. I'd definately reconsider Cirque or one of the other dinner shows in the Orlando area. Have a great trip!

Thanks Bill.

I should've looked you up :)
I just returned for Louisville last Sunday. Or is it Looeyville? or Lewville? :teeth:
Had a great time at 4th Street Live and the Science Museum.

How about touring some of the other resorts to check out the theming? DH and I did this on a couple of our trips. It was fun spending a bit of time at some of the places we hadn't yet stayed: GF, Poly, WL, etc. You could even combine this with your dining plans, for example make an ADR for Boma or Jiko and allow some extra time to tour the resort and see the animals. Have another of your meals at the Poly or WL.

Maybe your sisters would like to do the Segway tour? You and your mom could head over to Epcot in time to see them as they make their way from the training room into the World Showcase and back again about an hour later. Granted it's not something all four of you could do together, but in particular for the DSis who has kids, this is something she would probably not be able to do on trips with the kids and it is a blast.

Maybe you could book an Illuminations cruise? I've never done this myself but they seem to be very popular.
