I've seen some really detailed and wonderful reports on here so I hope I can live up to them. Here goes...
Day 1) We check in to POR and really liked the resort. We get settled into the room, have something to eat at the food court, and are off to DD. We buy large amounts of pins at the pin store(the big one) and after looking around DD for a while, we head back to the hotel so we can be rested for our 1st full day.
Day 2) We purchase refillable mugs, and go to AK. I spend much of the bus ride debating with my sis if I should do Everest(she's a ride chicken too so she's not much help!)Once we get to AK, I head to Everest and stare at it for about 5 minutes, watching the riders go down the big hill in front. I finally find some courage, and get into the single rider line(no way sis is getting on it!) I chatter nervously in line with those around me, and I think I was annoying the teenage boy in front of me(He's like "Lady, this ride is nothing to be worried about"-says him! He's got a seventeen year old stomach and I've got a thirty something year old one. BRAT!
) He was right though, the ride was tame as far as coasters go-just very fast. We then do KRR a few times, look at some of the animals and go back to get ready for MNSSHP!! The party was fun-there was a baby there dressed as Yoda(his parents were Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker) and he was the hit of the party. We went as pirates and while there were a ton of people dressed like that-it was awesome to ride POTC dressed as pirates. We did HM and there was this CM called Madame Carlotta who was performing on the side as you waited in the very short line. She was absolutely hysterical. We spend the rest of the night trick or treating, watching the parade and the fire works.
Day 3) My sister and I traditionally have a meltdown every trip-didn't have one last time, so this one was a doozy. Let's just say it involved yelling and a handful of candy getting thrown at my sister
Luckily, even though we both have a temper, neither of us stays mad long. We apologize to each other and go to Epcot. We spend most of the day in WS and eat lunch at the Coral Reef. We had the free dining plan which turned out to be the best thing-saved lots of money!
Day 4) More Epcot- I ride Mission:Space 2 times. Once on the green(wimpy side) and once on the orange side. Did they make the Orange side even more intense?! I think I'll be sticking to the green one from now on-it was fun without making you feel like your chest and head were caving in! We have lunch at the Garden Grill and drink beer in Germany. We also do the "Behind the Seeds" tour which was fun-got to feed the fish!
Days 5 and 6) Magic Kingdom! We go on SplM, BTMR, have lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace. We also ride HM and POTC numerous times. Most rides had a 5 minute standby time. I only used fastpasses once the whole trip. I think about doing SM but chicken out again! I've done ToT and now Everest, but SM still scares me.
Oh well, next trip.
Day 7) My least favorite part-going home! Our flight from Orlando to Atlanta(we would then be going from Atlanta to Providence) was first delayed for about 3 hours. Turns out they needed to replace a part on the plane but had to check with Atlanta to see if they had the right adhesive. Ummm, don't like the sound of that! I end up getting us on a flight to Kennedy airport and then from Kennedy to Providence. My sister is also "randomly selected" for extended screening. We end up getting home 2 hours late..I was so tired and aggravated that I called into work today. That was the one bad thing about the trip was the ride home. Oh, and the love bugs. Those things are nasty!
