I know, I know ... I need to get my trip report started! But first I wanted to thank everyone from this board for their tips. I took many to heart and applied them on our first trip to the World.
Where to start? I guess the "what to pack" thread. I had my eye on that thing for months! I packed every conceivable medication for constipation, diarrhea, headache, heartburn, blisters, motion sickness, etc. etc. We ended up not needing any of them except the moleskin (I had switched from my crocs to tennis shoes and got a minor blister), but I felt so much better having everything with me. You never know what might happen when you're on vacation, and I'm taking this mantra with me when I pack for our cross country/national park vacation this summer.
Whoever suggested cutting a sponge into pieces, squirting on a little bit of dish soap, and storing them in baggies was a genius!

We definitely took advantage of rope drop and got soooo much done before lunch, more than I ever could have imagined! I know this was recommended on several threads, and I'm a testament to its validity. It's really worth it to get there early!
A final thought (although there are so many other tips that I used) ... I'm so glad that I minimized on the amount of stuff I took into the parks. The first day, our Magic Kingdom day, I put what I could in my cargo capris and that's it. It was so nice to be hands-free. The other days I used my fanny pack, but it was still more freeing than taking in a backpack or other bag. The experience has really opened my eyes that, maybe, just maybe, I don't need all the garbage I've been hauling around in my purse.

Anyway, thanks again!
