I got an email today telling me I got on room upgrade offer for my upcoming trip and to go to "my plans" in the "my experience account" to view it
When I go and find the link that says "see offers" there is nothing on the next page that lets me click the room or reservation I want to see the offer for
Im wondering if Im missing something or if I have to break down and call them (UGH I hate talking on the phone)

It told you to use the MDE app not the web site. Did you actually check your MDE app on your smartphone?

OK at least it is consistent. Does it provide a code that you could provide to the CM on the phone?

Dave
Yes... reluctantly I will probably have to call
I was just trying to see if someone knew if there was some glitch and I could avoid calling

There have been several recent threads from people who have booked an upcoming vacation and indicated they got an email 'upgrade' offer from Disney. It seems more like a marketing gimmick to make it appear you are getting some sort of deal when mostly it is a way to get you to pay an additional charge for a more expensive room. I doubt you missed out on anything.

Disney IT is very glitchy. If something doesn't work right, wait a few hours or try the next day and likely it will again be working.

FYI its not really that you're getting a "discounted upgrade" or anything.
Its just telling you hey for x amount more you could switch to this resort or that resort.
You're not missing out on anything that you could not halve already just booked yourself.
You booked what you wanted and if you had wanted something else you would have booked that.

I got an upgrade offer on the website for my current reservation and the prices were definitely better than with my current offer. I am booked at a moderate and all offers were for deluxe resorts.

Are you telling me the prices are lower to upgrade to a deluxe?
Or are you saying that the percentage off is better? If that's the case then that's really not a deal. The discounts were more for deluxe to start with. I think if you do the math you'd be paying the same if you upgraded or just went and booked a new stay. You're basically paying the difference between your current reservation and what it would cost you to book a deluxe.

Yes, we had several like this. I don't even look at them anymore because they're nothing better than what. I could've booked on my own. Def. a gimmick and disappointed that Disney has chosen to play this game and try to trick ppl. One of the things I like most about Disney is feeling that we'll be taken care of/not bectaken advantage of without having to do much self advocating/thinking about it, but this move is just the opposite of that.
