OK, here goes. New to this forum, but I thought I'd share my upcoming booking for this October. I'm planning to attend the American Society of Anesthesiologists annual meeting in Orlando in October and decided to bring the family.
Traveling: Me, wife, mother in law (great help in taking care of the kids), daughter (age 4), son (age 2). 5 people total, from Los Angeles.
When: Saturday 10/18 to Monday 10/27.
Roundtrip, nonstop airline tickets on American Airlines for 5, LAX-MCO: $25 (using frequent flyer miles)
Rental car (minivan from National), 9 days total: $219
Disney Land & Sea package, 2 suites/4 nights at Saratoga Springs, 2 category 5 staterooms/3 nights on Disney Wonder, 10/19-10/26, including 5 day park hopper tickets (booked at Costco Travel): $5300
2 days at Floridays Resort Orlando pre- and post- Disney stay 10/18 and 10/26 (booked on Expedia):: $300
Free Costco giftcard for booking thru Costco: $500
Total cost for this trip: $5344
