Got an email PIN...I'm so confused

Just when I thought I had it figured out. Please help....

Here's the question: Can you get a package (tickets and dining) at checkin when you book resort/room only with a PIN???


Here's the background:
I am lucky to get a PIN for both Dec and Jan.
I called on Mon and was told that I can get a package w/ dining and still get the resort discount. However, when I do this I have the usual $200 deposit and a 45 day cancellation......the 45 days is what hung me up at the time because we were considering going for 6 nights Dec 20. That would make the cancellation date Nov5. We aren't sure of our plans.....we might go in Jan now, but not being sure of our dates is the whole problem

If I can make a room only and have a 5 day prior cancellation, I would like that much better. But! What about the tickets and dining???? We'd really like to get the dining!!!

I just want to make sure of what I'm doing as I'm making a reservation .

I asked a CM if I could upgrade to MYW w/dining at check-in. They said no, dining has to be booked at min. 72 hours in advance with full payment due at that time. However, you can book a room only now with a pin, keep the pin codes for the room-only AND the dining. BECAUSE, if you do call three days ahead to get the dining, if you have already booked with the room-only code, they will honor the MYW w/dining code past its availability date. I hope this helps. It sounds clear as mud when I read it back to myself.
