Got a Treehouse!

We love tree houses. The only place you can be on property and have the "feel of disney" But not sitting on top of each other. I am sure you could compromise with your guests. the 3 bedrooms is a plus. I never worry about my kids running, jumping, screaming. There is no one above or below me for me to worry about. The only think I believe is needed is your own car. Disney transportations can take forever if you are impatient like me.:goodvibes

We stayed at THV last June and loved the experience. Six adults, two toddlers and one infant. I urge you to request a villa close to the boat dock near the path to Grandstand. we did have two rental cars so transportation was not a challenge.

I agree that your boys will love the bunks, and you'll have no trouble accommodating your group.

That being said, I think we would not do the THVs again, unless it was just our three grandsons, Grandma and me.

I was walking through the treehouse area a few weeks ago, saw the separate entrance, but I couldn't tell, does your key get the bar to go up, so after you check in, can you drive in and out that way?
Also, how often does the boat come, is it the same boat that goes to the other SSR boat dock?

Yes your room key opens the gate to SSR and THV areas but if you are staying at SSR your key will not work for the THV area. The boats come about every 20 minutes and yes it is the same boat that goes to SSR dock!

OK, good to know on the boat and separate entrance. I am planning a trip for my adult children and their cousins. I thought the grill and deck would be fun for them, and they are used to staying together at a Lake House, so the smaller rooms should be fine. Funny, our lake house is an octagon, so actually looks a look like the treehouse! They will either love it or hate it! It didn't really seem like a great place for jogging, they are all fitness nuts, but I'm sure they will manage!

We stayed in the treehouses for 3 days before our cruise last year.

DH and I slept on the pullout couch. He's over 6' tall and I'm not a small person. It was quite comfortable.

My niece slept on the pull out chair right next to the couch.

Enjoy

I stayed at the treeshouse September 2012. We had 9 people in our room. 7 adults -myself, mom, older sister, younger sister, younger sister boyfriend, best friend, best friends husband and their two adorable children (4 & 2). We had no issues with sleeping arrangements.

My younger sister and boyfriend kept the room with the bunk beds. My mom and older sister had to main room. My best friend and her husband have the other queen bed, I slept on the pull out couch in the living room. The 2 year old slept with her parents or my (depended on her mood lol) and the 4 year old slept on the chair that pulled out to a bed.

The only complant that we had staying at the treehouse was the buses. We had to take a bus to Saratoga Springs and then wait again for a bus to the park we wanted to go to. One day it took as an hour to get on the bus to Magic Kingdom. It also sucks after a long day in the park to have to go from one bus to another before getting to the room.

Other than that I loved the treehouse. Was able to check that off my disney hotel bucket list. :)
