Got a Surprise from D23 This Morning

Ok, I know I am a major loser. I got a package delivered from D23 today that took me totally by surprise. I thought some of you might be interested in seeing it.

Yes, I am admitting I joined D23 the first day.

YIPEEE!!!! I joined on the first day and didn't buy any of the First Day merchandise and have been kinda sad that I didn't. Hopefully, I'll be getting one of these!!!

You're not a loser

As things are progressing, I see that D23 is making a concerted effort to give more value for what they are charging. While I'm sure some of it was planned before the launch, I have no doubt that the overwhelmingly negative reception it received has forced them to go back and revisit their strategy.

The Up premier at the El Capitain, was by most accounts, a great success. We received an email to the show recently talking about the Illuminations party at Epcot on May 31st that was a glowing review. I'd like to see more 'in park' perks to address the 'theme park' fan base, as well as some resort perks - but all in all, I think they are making good strides towards improvement.

I'm not ready to drink the kool-aid just yet, but efforts by D23 in recent months are certainly a huge improvement over it's abysmal launch.

Here's hoping it continues to get better.

I am a loser. I was jumping around like a kid on Christmas this morning. There is something about getting something I didn't expect that excites me.

I am sure every first day member will get one. It was sent June 4th Fedex Ground and I got it this morning before 9. I don't think Fedex Ground has every gotten anything here that fast before.

I have to say I have been a little disappointed about all the events in California. Ok, jealous might be a better word. I just love DL and southern California and wish I could be there for the great things like the premier of Up.

I did not hear about the May 31st event at WDW. I probably was not paying attention, but it sounds like a great perk.

I joined on the 1st day as well and was pleasantly surprised when I came home from work and opened the package. It's a really cool pin.

I just wished I'm able to attend some of the D23 events. I would really like to attend the DL event on July 17 since that is my b-day but unfortunately I will be celebrating the occasion in WDW. Oh well - at least I'll be at Disney.

I got my pin yesterday too! I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the "perks" since I live so far away from the expo, openings, etc. The pin was a nice touch for us that are stuck at home!

That's a pretty cool pin! I've not made the D23 jump yet, but the fact that they did something like this makes me closer (even though I know I won't get the pin for being a "latecomer").

Where are people hearing about things like the May 31st event? Do we have to check back on their website to know?
