Okay...so I got a postcard today and it has a "personalized URL" on it.

But I can't get the URL to open.

Is this how PIN code offers work or are they ON the card plain as day and I'm just chasing a white rabbit down a hole...with no code on the other side?!

The card DOES say "we went ahead and put together some customized information and an offer for you!"

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

:goodvibes

How much???? Can you apply it to your upcoming trip???

We want DETAILS!!!

:lmao:

We're going for 10 days, Aug21-30--Animal Kingdom Lodge, bunk beds pool View...Dining plan, park hoppers and water parks...

2 Adults
2 kids

Total savings came to about $1000-ish...give or take. I didn't do any actual math...

Although my husband says that if Free Dining is offered, it would be a bigger savings than 40% off the room...cuz he's a math geek that way!

I'm just thrilled that we got a post card. The CM I spoke with says it was a random mailing and that it was like "winning the lottery"...

I actually did a happy dance at the mailbox. My neighbor thought I was weird.
:rotfl2:

it was a code!

:cool1:

saved nearly $1000

:woohoo:

How did you get it to work? Did you call them? I got one of those also, but when I logged into it using the personalized URL, all I got to was the regular disney site with the regular prices. So, any info on how you booked it would be appreciated here.

I got a code too but its for the wrong dates. Would it be worth it to change my dates? When I called they said it was for room only. Mine was 30%.

Hi Steph,

I'll be more than happy to do the math for you (I'm a math teacher, so it's no real hardship) if you're seriously thinking about changing your dates to save the 30%. Just let me know all the details and the price you're currently paying and I'll get back to you later. (I'm on a mission to prevent ANYONE from paying full price!!!) Also, if you're not willling to change your dates, are you AAA members?? They'll give a discount of 10-20% off your room (ALL the PINs are room only) for just about any date other than Christmas.

One more thing: I started a thread for other newbies; it may help you along the way http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1715551

Thanks so much Alice!!!!! We are planning on staying 7/22-7/27 at Coronado Springs. With the Magic Your Way package it was 2609.58. If we saved enough I might upgrade a little ;) We didnt do the dining plan. I already have my ADRs but I'll change them if I save enough. Thanks so much, this is our first trip and a little overwhelming :goodvibes

How many adults/kids? And which dates are the codes good for?

Steph, you're going in "Summer Season", paying $179 per night for your room.

"Summer" ends August 2; "Value" season starts August 3rd. If you move your trip back until then, you can save $20 per night.

If your code starts August 10th (mine did) and you can move back until then, you can save some more money:

30% off the cheaper value season room will save you another $238.50. Add that to the $100 you're saving by going in Value Season and you're saving $338.50

That's $60 shy of paying for the DDP for 2 adults.

If you can switch the dates, it would probably be well worth it for you!!! That assumes, of course, that there are no penalties from airlines.

I havent gotten my airline tickets yet so that shouldnt be a problem. If I dont use it can I give my code to someone else? Will I get anymore codes?

They're not transferable, so no one else can use them. I'm not sure whether or not you'll get another.

If you could possibly move your trip back about 3 weeks, why not call and price it out with the PIN discount? That $338 would be MUCH better off in your pocket than Disney's. See what the final price is, then make up your mind.

PS-- If they say that rooms at Coranado Springs aren't available for the new dates, ask them to play with the dates or try other moderates. You're not making a committment, just narrowing down the options.

when you type the personal URL into the box, don't add www. Just blank the box and type in exactly what is on your post card. You'll go right to the URL.

I got the same postcard but when I called they said they didn't see any codes. The postcard came in with my madien name. She checked that and my married name and she didn't find nothing. She was really nice. She even looked up my kids and husband name and nothing.
