it's someone else's name at our address. It is someone we "took" with us several years ago --

So I know we cannot sue it since it's not our name. Has anyone else had this happen? how do you get them to fix the name for future reference?

Got the same thing in our mail today. It happened several times before with the same friends. I contacted Disney to try to get them into their own household. I was told it had been corrected. Obviously not. I'd like to hear if anyone has suggestions as well.

That has happened to me every time I've gotten a pin, except mine come to my e-mail. It's not even someone that has ever been to WDW, to my knowledge. Several years ago, I priced out a trip for her, but she didn't book.

I've tried everything I know to do to have the name changed. No luck, yet. Funny thing is, everything else that comes from Disney comes to my name.

Disney never seems to update info...

Me and Kari always booked a room together, occasionally there would be others with us. But I've had them give us each other's last names, misspell Kari's name, ask for my address and tell me I'm wrong because they have a highly outdated address. Even though I was booking under CM discount, and all my CM info was correct. Or an old phone number, all sorts of crazy stuff.

It seems like nothing quite gets purged the way it should be. Like if you wind up having 3 addresses on file (from moving), each time you call and give the name/phone number, it decides to pop up one of the three addresses.

I would still call them and try to use it. We got one last year to our email but in SIL's name for some reason :confused3 We called, and when they said it wasn't in our name, we just told them it's our address, no idea why it's in SIL's name, and they let us use the code.

I received two of these postcards recently. One addressed to my sister at my address and the other one addressed to my son's girlfriend, again, at my address.

I get them all the time and honestly am tired of it. I get them for my mom, her husband, my aunt and her son! NONE ever in our name! I have called several times trying to get them changed or to see if I had one. Once, I had one, but it had an address I lived at over 10 years ago for a very short time. I think I am so tired of it because each time I call I am told that it will be fixed and spend atleast 20 minutes (after holding of course) for them to fix all the names and addresses.

It just happened to me too! My mom got free dining.......Ughhhh and she doesn't even live here. We took her on a trip to Disney once, so they must've had her name placed onto our address.

SOOO frustrating!

I get them for 3 people I booked a trip with but then cancelled. Never one in my name - of course!!!

Got one for the first time ever and it happens to have my MIL name. She lives with us but won't be going with us in October. Fortunately or unfortunately the free dining CODE expired July3rd so we couldn't or wouldn't be using it anyway but were kinda bummed that after 9+ trips, we have yet to get a pin code.

I got one in my email... for my mother. But when I called they said no that's not her email we have listed... yet I still couldn't use it. I have tried a million times. My mother has not been to disney in over 15 years. I have gone 4 times in the past 3 years alone... an offer got mailed to my parents house to "The V Family".... I called to see if it was me.... nope because I moved out and live on my own and am married now, no can do.

I got one this week in the name of my mom's BFF that went with us in 2004! I called and tried using it and they wouldn't even consider it if she wasn't traveling. Such a bummer!

all the time, this week i got for my mom, my aunt, my aunts best friend, and my 10 year old nephew. hellooooo?
anyway in nov 2008, i got one with dh name , he was not traveling but they let me use it anyway. good luck:goodvibes

I got one too with my friend's name and my address. We had travelled together several years ago.

I called WDW and they said that I could use it since the pin is tied to the address. I also asked them to delete the firiends's name from my address so that maybe someday I will get a pin of my own!

We aren't going to use it since it expires the day we check in so I don't know if we really would be able to use it or not.

Us too. My mom & a friend of ours. We brought them both with us at one time or another. I made all the arrangements. Neither have been in at least 4 or 5 years. I think this is why they get the pins. IMO it is to attract those vacationers who have not been back in a while. Just my opinion.

As long as one of your dates overlaps it, you can use the code.

Last year when they extended free dining till december, many people used the last date as day of check in to get the dining plan through christmas. Never hurts to ask.
