Got a mailer! :) But it wasn't mine :(

In the mail today, I got 2 mailers from WDW. One was saying I could get a great rate on a Value Resort. The other said I could get a great rate on a Dream Maker package & had a PIN to use when I called.

So, totally psyched about getting a great rate on a package, I called CRO. The CM tried looking my info up & couldn't see what promo I was being offered.

Turns out, the mailer w/ the PIN wasn't mine! I got someone else's mail. So, he couldn't offer me anything as far as a discount on a package. He could only offer me the Value Resort promo. Well, I don't want to stay at a Value!

Man, I'm bummed! I wonder why they sent me that promo. I've never even researched Value Resorts on www.disney.com. I'm guessing it's because when I signed up gor the vacation planning video, I listed that I'll be bringing my preschoolers?

Call back and see if they can apply your value code to a different level of resort. I've never done it, but I've heard of many other DISers who have been able to. Good luck!

msteddom - that's the weird part - .my mailer didn't even list a PIN to get the disc on a Value. Just said to call CRO. So, I'm guessing this offer wasn't really "especially for me" at all - I think it's some generic promo. The CM looked to see what he could do as far as a Deluxe, but he said he wouldn't have any codes for Deluxes in Sept until August!
