Soooo, my dh ex wife calls him today and said since dss is turning 13 in march she wants us to help by him a TRUCK!! oh yeh haha and pay the ins cause it costs alot! lol he is 13! he cant even remember to brush his teeth! She said he can spend the next 3 yrs putting rims,radio and stuff on it...OMG my dh was like " that is CRAZY"...he told her he may not even get one at 16 if he does not learn to pay attention, he does not even remember to look both ways before crossing the road....he just is one of those kids who does not think things out.I think SHE wants it to drive.I can not believe she thought that was a good idea, she does not even take him to the dr (does not even know who his dr is).just had to share...it gave us a good giggle..

That is NUTS IMHO. Way to go overboard 3 years or more in advance.
My son is going to be 15 in March, can start his year of theory, then tests at 16, and STILL must drive with someone who has had their license for a min. of 2 years. So really 17 would be the earliest for him.

He has been told he can have my old truck. It is old now, so by then it should be perfect. I was taught that your first car should always be an old one, a safe one, but nothing NEW. That is how it worked in our family, and I predict, unless he buys his own (HA HA), that is what will happen here.

He got such a kick out of ,I was at publix shopping and he calls me right away and starts with "your ex wife is crazy" (he calls her MY exwife) lol so I knew it was a doozy!!! Him and I were JUST talking about it the other day saying he may not even get a car at 16 because he has such a hard time paying attention unless that changes ALOT...so this was just crazy crazy....I mean she says crazy stuff all the time but WOW!
The last crazy she said was when we had dss for 17 days for vacation in Dec and when we got home she was to busy to come get him (with boyfriend)then when her mom picked him up (she was to keep him 2 weeks until school went back) she calls 9 days later screaming we Had TO TAKE HIM BACK FOR NEW YRS EVE because she had had him for a month!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA my dh asked her if she needed a calender! but of course we took him back because we could see she didnt want him there

HE DID!!! lol He was said that and then said" ****** and I love to have him here anytime...on my way! oh and after hours of her saying crazy stuff about how how long she has had him she goes "well if you have plans you can get him the next day!" All she wanted to know id what we were doing for new years eve!We never do anything on that day...we do not go out,she parties all the time.He said I am on the way....THEN 5 minutes later she has dss call and ask my dh "what are we doing for new years? " haha yeh! He told him we will discuss it when you get here. lol He gets here and tells us his mom told him we were the ones MAKING her give him to us!
