Got a 40 % off code... and CANT use it!!

I am staying at the AKL 8/10-8/16 in the savannah room. I have been waiting for a code and finally got a 40 percent off code.. Its for standard rooms only. It going to cost me $600 more to stay in the savannah room but to me I think it would be worht it. What do you think? We have never been to disney so I have no clue but seeing the animals first thing in the morning from our room sounds soooo cool!

Ohhh and the last rep. I talked to told me I will be getting a code in my name soon... is that him just trying to get me off the phone or does it mean something???

Do you have code? Is it a post card or email or did the CM just say you had one?


If you have the code in your hand, I'd call back. Maybe it's true that all is available to use the discount on is a standard room, but that just seems so unlikely. There aren't very many standard rooms in the AKL.

You may want to call & check to see if you can apply it to different rooms---I have heard of it working in the past.

You should try to call again as availability does change. I too had the code and booked my August 10-17 trip. I wanted the A/S Suites, but it was not available, so I booked 2 rooms at Pop. Good luck and post back.

I know, I thought it was dumb and maybe the CM was wrong.. so I called back and was told the same thing. I talked to 5 dif. Cms that day. 2 told me that the code wasnt in there system and 3 told me that only standard rooms are avail.

I did have a prob. with the CMs being unhelpful, so I emailed disney. A manager CM called me about it and gave me her number. Of course she isnt in untill tomorrow so wish me luck that she tells me something good!!!

And yes I got a postcard in the mail.

If I were you I would give it another try this morning. I have found that the CM's on duty over the weekend are anything but helpful. Just this weekend I called to add the parkhopper option to my ressie of course the CM I got couldn't find any ressie for me in their system she said it simply didn't exist period. So I finally found my confirmation number and gave that to her "oh there it is" UGH!!! Then I had to call again and change my dates by 1 day at that time I asked about any discounts that may be available "what are you talking about, disney doesn't offer discounts other than those made public via various media sources" Yeah Right!! Either they are just misinformed or they don't care but I know I won't be calling on the weekends anymore.
