So I got a 40% off deluxe pin code, and called today to book it.

I first inquired about a 1BR suite in BLT. There were only studios available in BLT with the discount. Bummer.

Then I asked about CR with a MK view. Nope. Only lake views available with the discount. Jeepers.

I ended up booking that, with hopes that a BLT 1BR will come available. The CM did say that there ARE still 1BR's available, just not at the discount rate.

**On a separate note, we did determine that this 40% discount was WAY better for us than free dining (if that should come out). I saved exactly $900 with this pin. Free dining would only save us approx $540.**

So....what are the odds they will open more up to the discount? And when should I be calling back? Does anyone have experience with this?

We like the idea of the 1BR suite b/c our kids go to bed earlier than what DH and I do, so we always opt for a suite if we can get one. Otherwise we're all in bed by 8:30.

Thanks for any and all guidance!

I booked whatever I could get at the 40% discount, the other nights at whatever discount I could get (AAA), and called every morning to check to see if any more nights came available.

I got them after 2 tries :) But, I only had to add 2 nights - I was able to get 3 in a row at the 40% discount.

I upgraded to a CR Tower (which I am happy with) because the 1 BR BLT rooms are not available on my promo either. I see them at rack rate. I know they ARE available. But not with my promo. I really want the 1 BR Villa (want a washer and dryer!) so I asked what to do. Only one CM suggested that I call around 7 AM in the morning when they open, daily if I would like. She explained that the system updates after midnight each day and that would be my best chance. I have tried, so far no luck. I will keep trying a little longer.

When is your trip? I see you are in Raleigh also. We are in Apex. :goodvibes

I got the 40% code too and the only thing available at the Poly for two separate vacations was GV and TPV or TPV CL. It was one extreme to the other. I just booked the regular GV.:lovestruc

The same thing happened to me. I booked a 1 BR in the BLT with a AAA discount. Tried to attach the 40% discount when it came out, but it was not available. The only rooms available with 40% off (at that time) at BLT were studios. Others available were Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs. I checked online, and it was the same.

Similar issue here. We were AKL/CL - that was a no go with the PIN. So we started looking at 1br and CLs elsewhere. We could get a 1br at Kidani, but it cost more. We decided at that point, if we were going to pay more with a pin that was intended to help us *save*, we wanted to go to a different resort and stay within CL. We ended up at YC/CL with a Lagoon View and spending a few hundred more than our original AAA priced AKL/CL.

We're still very happy with how the pin code worked out for us, but it was a big hassle trying to figure out the options, just to make the changes. We also added an extra night on the front and back of our trip, thanks to a funky flight schedule - so we're split our ressie to let our kids experience a couple different resorts... They're still going to stay at AKL the night before we fly out. I'm sure they'll love it, and I"m happy we got to reuse our pin for that night at least :)

Thanks everyone. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one in this boat!

Fingers crossed they release more 1BR's.

what is it that triggers them to send a pin code? i've been going and staying onsite for years and have never got one. also does anyone know when the discounts usually come out that cover december? last year there was one that let you pick between the dining plan or 40% off a club level room at certain resorts in december. thanks a bunch.

Well, I read on here that one thing to do is to price out a trip online, but not to book. I created a new account under DH's name and email, and sure enough, that's the account that got the PIN a few weeks later.

Keep checking back they, add inventory to the specials all the time

There must be a lot of people hoping for a 1 bedroom to open up...I was one of them. I think I am happy now tho, with a GV at the Poly. I decided if I had to pick btwn easy transportation and a second room for napping, I choose transportation. I will prob need a nap when the kids do anyways.;) The rooms at Poly are supposed to be pretty decent sized.

Got the 20-30-40 code today in my e-mail. :yay: I have 2 rooms booked at The Sugarloaf Lodge and my Dreams agent got 40% off both rooms. :jumping1:

I love dealing with Dreams Unlimited. They answer all my questions and always get we the best deal. We have AP and have been waiting for an AP rate to come out. Don't think it will be any better then this deal. So now it's time to plan and plan and plan. :cloud9:

Somewhat the same boat here. I was able to book the 1-br at BLT, but with a lake view, and I really want theme park view! It doesn't look like any 1-br TPVs are part of the discount at all. I keep checking on the website, even with various different dates, but all that comes up is the 1-br LV or 2-br TPV. I've also called several times (since I actually have a pin for the 40%, I keep hoping that might be a different inventory than the 40% public offer), but so far no dice.

The CMs are very nice, though, and I also had one tell me to call first thing in the morning, as that's when the inventory is updated. I figure I'll try again tomorrrow morning - maybe lots of people will cancel over the weekend :thumbsup2

I think that you're right about Disney not discounting much at BLT except for the studios. We have a 2 br TPV booked right now with no  discount, and I would like to make a change to a 1 br TPV. Nothing seems to be available for our week in mid October, even at rack rate. It's hard to give up the idea of the theme park view, isn't it? We originally booked the 2 br thinking that my parents were coming, but now that it's just the 4 of us, a 2 br seems crazy for that price, especially with no discount. Maybe the Lake View is super nice - does anyone know? I remember being disappointed by how far away the Poly is, so the TPV there didn't seem to be worth the money, IMO. Sorry - just ranting and rambling!

Yeah - I really want the view! Just once, want to see Wishes from my hotel room balcony :cool1: I love the pics on here of lake view rooms that have an MK view as well. If I could be sure we could get one of those, I'd go for it, but knowing my luck, I'd get a view of the pool - not interested!

I'm going to give it a little more time, but if we can't get a TPV by end of June I think we'll switch to FW Cabins. We loved it there last year, and it would save us almost $500...

Never thought it could happen to me...I got a PIN in my email! Didn't think we would be able to go this year, but looking good now with a 40% discount!!

We are in Morrisville!

We had already booked a GV CL room at the Poly for Dec. Received the 40% pin and our TA tried to apply the discount to that reservation. There weren't any GV CL available to use with the pin. But we were able to upgrade to TPV CL and add two nights for the same price we were paying for the original GV CL room.
