cuz i've never read the books. just got hooked on the show.
and how do you know it's a gay guy?
Not at all. They're pretty different.
Some stuff:
- Nate's two best friends in the books are Serena and Blair, while also hanging out with boys named Anthony, Charlie and Jeremy. He also couldn't stand Chuck. In the TV series, Chuck is Nate's very best friend.
- In the TV series, it is said that Nate and Blair have been dating since kindergarten, whereas in the book series, they have only been dating since right before Serena left for Boarding School.
- Jenny in the books has brown curly hair and a huge chest.
- In the book series, Dan dates Serena only for a brief period of time; in the TV series he dates Serena through a span of months.
- In the book series, he dates Serena only for a brief period of time; in the TV series he dates Serena through a span of months.
- In the books, Serena came home from boarding school because she got kicked out for not returning for the beginning of senior year; in the TV series, the television version of her sibling, Eric, attempts suicide, compelling Serena to return home (in her junior year).
- In the books, Serenas parents are still married and her mother, Lilian, never spoke to Dan Humphreys father, let alone dated him; In the TV series, Serenas mom dated Dans father, Rufus.
