We had to put our beloved black cat to sleep age 17 about a year and a half ago. He was the best, sweetest cat and it makes me sad to see these pics. Unfortunately, we have another cat (now ten - we rescued him as an abandoned kitty) with too many medical issues to upset him with a new pet in the home. We are also in Arizona.

Ya know, if I didn't have so dang many of them already... We actually have had four more come to our house since I made my sig pic. One is living happily at my mother's house now, but that still leaves us with ELEVEN. Most of ours are rescued cats and I think it's a great thing you're doing.

Princess looks like the the first kitty I ever had. Kashka was her name and she was beautiful. I hope Princess finds a permanent home soon. She's a beauty.

This is my Jake desperately trying to stay awake on Christmas Eve.
Both of my kitties are rescued and I have a 2 cat limit in my lease.

I also am interested in hearing more about the transportation thing.
It sounds like something I would be very interested in doing.

Oh WOW!!!! Thank you ALL who are offering help.. even if it's prayers and good vibes... to transport.... and those who HAVE rescued animals!!!

You know, I'm not sure how they know she had a kitten and after halloween.. I'm assuming people in the neighborhood told the rescuer? THese kitties are all in homes and all were strays in their neighborhoods that they couldn't turn away. Thank goodness... black kitties are frequently used for no good by evil humans.

There are so many unwanted animals out there.

I have forwarded this to a friend of mine, whose neighbour just lost her cat. I know she is looking for another. This is just perfect. I would grab one in a hearbeat, but DH would freak out...We have 2 cats, but I lost my black cat 3 yrs ago, and still look for her.

I so agree. But DH does not...LOL...Both my cats are rescued..One showed up at my door, and was abused. other one was rescued from the park after her mom was killed by a fox.

We have an 18 year old tiger cat and she just got two sisters last year from the Humane Society. One, Ginger, (Gingy) looks like the first cat and she is also a princess (we also call her Precious). Our other 16 month old is a "tuxedo cat" - black w/some white. We love all our girls, but we also have 11 birds and a hamster.
