What's strange is I looked at the same area with the new virtualearth.msn.com site and the port is empty....no ships at all. Prior to that I thought all these images came from the same source.

I do not think it is a "live" image....and I believe someone once posted that the sites use images from different days.....so not all sites may have the same image.

And again, to go along with view of the Port is a view of Castaway Cay
Looks like the ship is docked there too (but the images aren't zoomed in as well as at the port).

If you haven't tried Google Earth, I highly recommend you view these sites with this amazing program. Get it at the Google.com.

I love GoogleEarth and had been looking for Castaway Cay for awhile. Thanks for the coordinates.

Last night I showed our kids our vacation on Google Earth, they had a blast watching it 'fly' from Ohio to port canaveral to nassau to castaway cay to port canaveral to orlando and back :) We zoomed in and showed them our hotels, the ship, the beaches and we managed to find space mountain as well. I think it's a good thing for them to see, really gives them an idea of where on the planet we are going (zoom way out and look at the markers on the earth).

That is correct....they are all static images....typically several years old. Would be nice if someday in the future it was real time...and you could put tracking devices on your kids and zoom in on them at any time.

Thanks so much for the heads up with Google Earth. It is such a powerful tool that it may make you a little dizzy.

:crazy2:

What are the coordinates for CC? I'm looking but can't find CC.

Also, does anybody have a rough estimate of the actual coordiantes (lat;long) that the ship sails on the 7 day eastern cruise? I can problably find the ports, but it would be fun to map the exact (or as close as possible)cruising coordinates ... I can probably guess, but they may take a totaly different route than a direct line between point A and B etc.

The coordinates are embedded in the link above. While the exact coordinates depend upon what part of the island you want, the coordinates for roughly mid-ship while docked are 26.080 lattitude and -77.537 longitude.

Does anybody know the approximate lat and lon for each day of the 7 day eastern cruise?
