Sittin' around the fire station today waiting on the race to start. "Hmmm, wonder if I can find DW on that Google Earth thing we have on the computer?" Low and behold, there it is! Man, I wanna go back. I can see "our" spot, 209 at the Fort. I found MK, Epcot and Downtown Disney. Still looking for MGM and AK. They might be in the less defined area. :thumbsup2

Sorry I've got google earth, it was link to FW I was looking for :thumbsup2

I don't know the exact coordinates. To me, half the fun is finding stuff. I first looked at Daytona Speedway. Pretty easy since it's right where I-4 and I-95 meet. Then I went down I-4 though Orlando to the southwest corner. I've looked at so many DW maps, I recognized it when I got there. Then I just followed up the streets right to the Fort.

i just wish they would update the information because those photos are about 3 years old. the new turnpike is still in the dirt stage and some of the housing developments are just coming out of the ground. Also finding my house it does nt have my addition that i added 3 years ago. google earth is neat at first but definately overated.

I don't know the the new turnpike you are taking about but if it's the Disney turnpike it has to be more than 5 years old.

They are somewhat dated and I agree, I wish they would update. I noticed in MK that the 20,000 Leagues lagoon is still there, and of course that's been gone for a bit now. I also found my BIL's house, and the new subdivision that went in some years ago up the street from him, is just bulldozed "roads" and a few marked off lots. :worried:

I have googled WDW a lot too and was excited that I could even see our cabin on the little road that we were on. It was really cool!

I like watching the people in WDW and the boats coming in. It makes me feel like I am there, although my dh tells me that the photos were taken a long time ago. Well, maybe one of those little dots is -- ME! How cool is that??
