Google charges from kids electronics

I have the Nook tablet, and I let my aunt set up her's on my same account so she could have access to my books and apps. Her grandson ran up $35 in charges on the most useless apps on the planet and it wiped out a gift card I had on file that I had gotten for my birthday and then started charging my debit card! I was LIVID!!!! That is my biggest complaint about the nook is that it doesn't ask for a password. And I can't just remove my debit card because magazine subscriptions won't charge to a gift card.

I had the same thing happen with my nook and my 4-year old. I couldn't figure out where these $.99 charges were coming from. It finally dawned on me that he was buying apps. I was able to go into the settings and set a password in order to purchase anything on the nook.

I have tried to remove the CC info from our kindle fire with no luck. What I did was put a pass-code on it when I noticed it was doing the Amazon 1 click...

Oh heck to the no! My kids are taught to respect my privacy!!!

He only does it on his electronics I try to block him out of, not my stuff. It's become a game On both ends now!

I got hit with $105 for virtual pet supplies...food, collars, toys and a doggy bed. Apple removed the charges and I locked the App Store up! If anyone needs any of the aforementioned supplies, I'll sell them for a reasonable price. :)

No thanks. We ended up with $243 in doggie stuff thanks to DD.

On the fire, you can get a "dummy" CC number from paypal-just Google it. Put that in since they won't let you have an account without it. Then we have our son use his money-allowance, gifts, sofa money- to purchase gift cards. You will have to set up an Amazon account separate from yours, but I just created an email account for him and never told him the password (I didn't want him to have access to my cloud anyway). His fire still requires a password when he actually purchases something, but if there is no money in his account, no purchase. If I want to buy him something (like a book), I purchase it on my account and send it to him as a gift.

Thanks so much!!!! I never knew you could set a password on the Nook. I just did!!!!
