Is Goofy's Sky School the same as Mullholand (sp?) Madless? Just re-themed? Or is it a different ride? We used to love that little roller coaster!

Side note: there was no audio on Goofy's Sky School last Wednesday, only as you exited the ride :(

Yes, it is the same!

I love that vicious little ride:)!

Vicious is a good word for it..

It's so funny because this ride people either love or hate it..i've yet to see anything in between. DH , me and every friend HATE it. For us it has zero reddeming qualities but we're glad we did it once..lol.

Yes, its the same....although I call it the "Ball Crusher" for obvious reasons!

LOL! :lmao:

Is this ride okay for children? They do all the coasters at WDW without a problem but this sounds a little wilder? We have never been to disneyland, so I'm trying to get a feel for the rides.

If your kids are able to handle Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom, then they can do this. It is VERY similar. Hope this helps!

Our kids (9 and 7) loved this ride, we rode twice, and would have gone more if it hadn't been broken down for most of the last day we were there. They also loved Space Mountain, but did not like Splash (got surprised by the speed of the big drop, refused to try it again), and would not go on Screamin, if that's any frame of reference.

They are fine on primeval whirl, but I hate it!!! DH doesn't do coasters at all. We've been to WDW so many times I'm comfortable sending them on rides alone and meeting them at the exit. This will be our first Disneyland trip though, so I'll probably just tell them we're skipping this one.

You are so right.....my Hubby hates Goofy's Sky School! He's kind enough to indulge me in going on it about once every 3 or 4 trips;)!

If your kids love it, don't skip it! Stay in line with them and just let them ride while you watch. You should be able to just hop in and immediately out of the car (to the exit side) and then wait at the exit for them. The ride is in a fairly small area that is all open--not like sending them into Space Mountain or Indiana Jones by themselves. And it is SO fun!

I can't wait to try the new theme when we go in November! I loved Mulholland Madness, but adding classic Disney characters will probably make this ride even better!

The line and structure of this ride is very open. The line space is small, but it's all bars and chains, so you would be able to see your kids the whole time. I wouldn't skip this one if your kids like smaller size roller coasters. It's an awesome ride.

It's like they took Primeval Whirl and made the ride vehicles TINY and made the corners sharper and made it about 13,000 times scarier and whippier.

I love Whirl. I despise Sky School and try to avoid it.

My son LOVES LOVES LOVES Sky School.

It is indeed very open. And it looks so sweet and innocent and easy from the ground. So it's best to send the kids on it and just watch from below.

It's hard to hate the ride if you're not riding it. And kids seem to love it. If I ever get up the guts to send DS alone (he rides other rides alone, but with this one it's like a plane trip...if something goes wrong I'd rather be with him than have him be alone...I"m incredibly morbid when it comes to this particular ride...same feeling at Universal Orlando with Dr Doom, Hulk, etc) it'll be a good day for us all because he'll be able to thoroughly enjoy it, and I'll be able to have a beer while firmly on the ground.

My D5 and D7 love it (so do my DW and I). I wouldn't be concerned with sending your kids on it even if you want to skip it.
