Goofy's Kitchen Thursday at 11am? What do yout think?

Hello

We have reservation on a Thursday at 11am at Goofy's Kitchen. I am a little worried because 1) GK closes at noon so I hope they keep fresh food out for us and 2) will many characters still be there ?? I asked the CM on the phone, and she said they usually leave around noon so we should be fine .

What do you guys think? Has anyone eaten there at this time?

I wanted to try to get it earlier but some of the others in my party don't want any earlier. Please let me know your experiences. thanks so much!

We've done 11 am when they've closed at 1 pm. But when we left at 12:30, there was still plenty of fresh food and lots of characters.

Honestly, if that is a day when they close at noon, I personally wouldn't feel totally assured of characters or food quality if I arrive at 11:00. You may not even get seated right at 11:00. You may have to wait a few minutes, which will limit the time even more. That is cutting it close for me, because they are starting to 'wind down' in that last hour at Goofy's. I would aim for 10:00 a.m. or at least 10:30, just to be on the safe side. Now, if it is a day when they close at 2 p.m., then I would feel better about noon. I am always at Goofy's in either the 7:00 a.m. hour or the 8:00 a.m. hour, and so that's what I am used to, and the characters and food are great. Plenty of time to make repeated trips to the huge buffet and graze!!

Was it a weekend when you went? I know that on certain weekends during 'busy' seasons, they will close at 2 p.m. BUT, I do recall a couple of other DIS-ers mentioning a 1 p.m. closure at other times, and then noon closures at other times!! I am thinking maybe 1 p.m. is the closing time on regular, non busy-season weekends? Then noon would be the weekday closings, I suppose?

This is something we'll have to consider.

They also have a 10:20am reservation open as well so that might be an option. I'm trying to get the rest of my party on board for that. but if not, then perhaps we'll just make sure to get there early and hope to be seated right at 11.

Any other thoughts?
