Goofy's Kitchen question

When we went last week, out all all the Character Meals we did, Goofy's Kitchen was the only one that we didn't get special buttons for. Anyone know why? I was kind of bummed about it, I love having one from Ariel's Grotto and the Minnie & Friends Breakfast (well, I have 2 of those now, ).

Did you ask while you were there? They do have them for Goofy's. Maybe you could call the Hotel and ask if it would be possible to have them sent to you?

We just ate there on Wednesday and didn't get buttons either.

I didn't get buttons at Goofy's or Ariel's....of course I didn't know to ask.

Last year for Goofy the CM serving our orange juice brought them to our table.

For Ariel's we had to ask at the podium where we checked in. They didn't give us buttons there the year before either.

We got ours from Ariel's Grotto when our Waitress took our order for our drinks and they hand them to you at Minnie's right after you've paid and before you are seated. None at Goofy's at all. Someone we know did ask, but I forgot what she said about them. Maybe I will call and ask.

I went for my Birthday Sept 5 and they didnt give the buttons. My wife asked and they said they have been out for a few weeks. Just have to ask for them the next time you go and they will give them to you

They definitely have buttons at GK, but I think whether or not you get them is one of those wacky situations where it depends on the server you get. They used to just hand them out to everyone years ago, no matter what age, and then they started 'deciding' who to give them to, i.e., kids, people with birthdays, etc. And then it got to a point where adults had to start asking for the buttons. When we were there either last year or in 12/07 (can't recall which meal it was), my friend was wearing her DLR b-day button, and the Goofy's crew came out to sing the little birthday song (badly) and bring her the birthday cupcake and they handed her a Goofy's button. Another time in the last two years, I just asked them if we could have buttons.

For the record, when I and two of my friends last ate at the Storytellers Critter breakfast, I had to ask the server for buttons there too. So it is not just GK where this happens. I think they used to hand out so many of them to everyone and people would leave them behind or ruining them, and it probably costs money to have them made. So they don't hand them out in some of these places now unless someone specifically wants them.
