Do you have AAA? If so, then you can purchase the dinner at Goofy's for a slighter greater discount than pre-purchasing. One of the sites where you can pre-purchase the dinner is getawaytoday.com. You can read about it on mousesavers.com under her Disneyland info.

I think that you can pre-purchase with savings on the Disney website as well. Other sites, like getaway, will charge you a $5 fee on top of whatever price you are paying.

We just ate at Goofy's on our last trip and had a wonderful experience!

We got ours through ARES travel. You should definitely compare prices with any discounts available (AAA, AP) sometimes it's a savings, sometimes not. Factor in that the vouchers include tax and tip.

We are getting our directly from AAA. The Disney site said $90 for 2 adults and 1 child for Ariel's lunch/dinner. We are getting them for $81 and are tax and tip included

i have never used the vouchers, but would like to try it sometime. Especially considering how expensive the dinner at goofy's is. I'm interested to find out more. How much can you save?

It depends on where and when.

We got GK brunch through ARES for $30 adults and $16 kids (plus a $5 fee).
In Sept. it was 28.99 for adults at the door (plus tax and tip). All breakfasts are the same price for vouchers, so using them for Minnie's wouldn't be a deal and would actually be more. When we were there is was $23.99 for adults and 11.99 for kids.

We are doing the voucher again for GK in December since ARES is still selling them at $30, but the door prices are going up about 20% for the holiday season.

I can usually (not always) save by pre-purchasing the vouchers. Here are a couple of sites to try out:
http://hotels.anaheimoc.org/1282_attraction-tickets_a18.html?ticketID=587
http://www.getawaytoday.com/TicketListing.aspx (select 'dining' on drop-down menu)
http://www.res99.com/nexres/activit...11/30/2009&to_mm=&to_dd=&to_yy=&search=SEARCH (put in your dates)

*Note: the first site (Anaheim OC) charges a $2.50 "convenience fee" and the middle and last sites (Getawaytoday and AAA) do not charge a fee. That puts them all, as of today, in about the same place cost-wise.

I've gotten better prices in the past by purchasing through AAA as part of a package. My package was just hoppers and dining vouchers and I did it through my local AAA office. I don't know if they still do this or not.

ARES Travel Tickets

Here's the site for ARES DLR tickets. If you scroll down, look under "Character Experiences". The convenience fee is $5, but even with the fee it was about $5 cheaper than GAT.com for what we ordered.

Thank you so much for the links. :thumbsup2

Just for comparison's sake, I plugged in current dates for all of the above-listed sites. Here is the cost breakdown for 1 adult 1 child, Goofy's dinner buffet:

Anaheim/OC: $38/16 + $2.50 fee
GAT: $40/18, no fee
AAA: $40.31/18.14, no fee
Ares: $38/16 + $5 fee

First time I'm really considering this....

For GAT and Ares, where do you pick up the vouchers?

Is the purchase immediate? Order online, print out a voucher, that's it? Or is there a waiting period before an email is sent?

Gotta call disney dining, find out how much Minnie's will be next Monday, to compare properly...

You pick them up at the ticket booth. It is immediate. I know they sent me a confirmation email, but I think you can print them immediately after purchase. I didn't need to wait for the email before I could print.

Thanks! I see you live in Riverbank too. Small world!

Yes it is. I once requested on MousePlanet for someone to send me some maps. The person who volunteered ended up living in Modesto and dropped them on my doorstep instead.

Oh how funny. Looks like you are going the same time we are. We are going to the TOT party on 10/31 and doing the haunts tour on the 26th.

I am thinking of taking my son. I don't eat much so it's hard to justify the cost. Having frugal in your bones stinks sometimes.
