Goofy's Kitchen - breakfast or dinner?

We are planning a DL/DCA trip in the fall. We have been 1 time before and ate at Gooy's kitchen for breakfast that trip and loved it - good food and great service and entertainment from the characters. For those of you who have been to both, would you suggest a repeat visit for breakfast or is dinner better?

Thanks,

I prefer dinner because I hate eating that much and then going to the parks. Also, the best time of day to be at the parks is first thing in the morning and if you are tied up at a breakfast then you aren't taking advantage of shorter lines! I also think for the money, dinner is the better deal. Still, we have done breakfast too and didn't come away unhappy!

I agreee with Amy&Dan. Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. Book as early a seating as possible if you have little ones. The last time we were there we were with our 3 1/2 yr. old grandaughter. We were among the first to be seated and she had lots of interaction with the characters. We didn't eat until the place filled up because she was getting so much attention from them. Once the restaurant filled the contact was less.

I understand why Dinner might be more alluring. However, breakfast is less expensive and more doable if on a budget. Also, have a late breakfast seating so you pay the breakfast price but you probably won't want to eat again till dinner. Just another perspective.

I agree, we always do the latest breakfast seating possible, usually 10:30. That way its more of a brunch. You get your premium time in the park, then head over for the meal. Since its so late in the morning, its less crowded too.

Sorry I can't make a true comparison. I've only done the breakfast, but I've done it 3 times.

We preferred breakfast, especially with the price difference. Dinner was very expensive, even more than WDW character dinners.

Plus, there is a mix of breakfast and lunch foods at breakfast. We went to the park at 8:00 and had a PS for 11:00 or so. So we got in a few hours in the park, and then went to eat when the crowds started filling up the park. Then we would either nap or pool after eating and return to DL in the early evening.

We did it for dinner and loved it. I would definately try it for breakfast some day. I like the idea that breakfast is cheaper.

LOL I was just asking about Goofy's in my own thread!

Can someone please tell me what the cost is for breakfast and dinner and what the offerings are?

I have done both and preferred the breakfast visits more. Makes skipping lunch really easy. pirate:

We too have done both breakfast & dinner at Goofy's Kitchen, and I really prefer breakfast. Like the above poster mentioned, this way you don't really have to worry about lunch and it's cheaper than the dinner buffet.

However, I am someone that would prefer a breakfast buffet over a dinner buffet, as I like the food choices better.

We did a 11:30 seating this last time we were there and it was GREAT!!! We got sooooooooo much character interaction this that time(plus we had 3 bday kids LOL) :earboy2: This is the second time we've had a later breakfast seating(the latest one though)and I really LOVE this time period. We get a few hours in the park and do lunch and then can relax, we shopped afterwards and just hung out in DTD for awhile, it was great.

We've also done an early early breakfasts and a dinner and I prefer breakfast myself.
