Goofy's Kitchen & Birthdays

Does Goofy's Kitchen do anything fun for birthdays? It's going to be my mums 50th birthday during our Disneyland trip, and she really wants to go back to Goofy's. I just cant remember if they do anything special for birthdays. If not, do you have any other suggestions on things we can do as a family to make her birthday memorable? I would like to surprise her with something nice.

My 13 birthday two years ago we went to goofys kitchen, a bunch of characters came around the table and they gave me a small choclate cake w/ a candle and they sang. Characters even gathered around. My mom purchased the birthday bucket, but i wouldn't reccomend, that cake was TERRIBLE! Other than that they dont do much, remember to get a button at city hall!

Well, one time we were there when the staff saw the birthday button my friend was wearing and came back with a Goofy's Kitchen button for her and a dark chocolate cupcake with a candle in it. Then they sang a silly song of some kind, while Goofy and one of the other characters bopped along. That's pretty much what I have seen them do for other folks' birthdays, though I think you can order a special cake from Vacation Planning and have it there, ready for you at Goofy's, if you need something extra. Make sure you tell Disneyland Dining when you make the PS that it's mom's birthday, so at least they will have it in their system when you arrive. And if possible, stop and get a birthday button for mom before going to Goofy's (if not in the parks then at one of the hotels) so the Goofy's staff will see it.

When we were just there it was a birthday for a child and the waiter brought out a cupcake and we all sang happy birthday...no characters. Just make sure someone at the front of your waiter knows!

I ate their for my birthday last year and a bunch of CM's - along with Goofy (which was awesome) - came to our table with a cupcake with a candle and sang me happy birthday. I loved it.

I was just there on Saturday for my birthday - they gave me a special birthday card and when the characters came by they all signed it. I did not receive a birthday song or any type of cake/cupcake, but we took off a bit early to hit the parks. It was just DH and me, so we were more interested in park time. I did see other tables getting a birthday song, but not from the characters - it was the servers. I thought it was really fun and I am incredibly glad I went!

I wonder if they would let me suggest having even just 1 character come over and help sing happy birthday. Its not like this is just some random birthday. Its a big milestone for her. It would be worth to ask.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. If i decide to go here, I will definitely let them know ahead of time that it is for a birthday. We will have a group of a round 6 people so maybe we can get even a cupcake for her. Would be nice.
