Goofys dinner time?

Our flight lands a little before 1pm on the Nov the 23rd (Black Friday).

We aren’t planning to go the park that day, but just hit DTD and have dinner at goofys and enjoy the hotel pool.

My question is there a better time then others for a goofys reservations? Just hubby and I so we are flexible. Is an earlier dinner better or the later or right in the rush?

I like going at first-available time (was 5:00 for us) to avoid a wait. The restaurant takes a little while to fill (and should be quieter) as some reservations are for 5:15, 5:30 etc. The characters came around a little more frequently because there were fewer tables to stop at. And the food should be fresh, although it won't swap out as quickly if it's not being eaten down as fast.

5:00 may seem later if you are coming from another time zone.
