Goofy's CC - No PB cups for you!!!

Just wanted to report back from my weekend trip, went to Goofy's to get DH's standard souvenir (mickey rice crispy treats dipped in milk chocolate, rolled in pb cups, drizzled with more chocolate!) but alas, Goofy's has gone and cut Reese's PB cups from the options of toppings at the "make your own"

First the caramel drizzle, now this Do they want business there?? Just sayin'...won't be getting much more of ours, we are big pb cup fans and Reeses pieces are not an adequate substitute at all!

Reese's is now selling the mini PB cups in little bags. Take some along.

I happen to know this because they are like my favorite company on the planet and I have to try everything they make.

Is it possible that they were simply out of Reeses cups at the time you were there? I was there once and they were out of the milk chocolate, they even printed out new forms without the milk chocolate option. I was assured it wasn't gone forever, they were just out of it at the time.

I asked and was told they are no longer an option. They do appear to have mini pb chips now, not quite the same.

Kaligal - I have had a bag (or two) of the mini pb cups - yum! My DH is a Reese's fanatic, he has to try every new product as soon as it hits the shelves. When paying $6 for a crispy head treat, I would rather they provide the topping though!

Seriously, we just make them at home now when the kids have a birthday or my husband needs a major sugar rush It's still sad to me to see another one of our favorite options gone. Goofy's just isn't as fun as it used to be when we could get our favorite treats and use our snack credits for them too!

If it its permanent, the most likely reason is because of peanut allergies. Peanut allergies are on the rise, and thankfully so is awareness. My son has a peanut allergy and his is mild, but there are people who can't even be in the same room as peanuts or peanut products. I know that not all people are thrilled about removal of popular peanut products, but I am grateful. Taking your 8 year old to the ER on vacation is NOT FUN (we've had to do it before)
But like the other people posted, they could have just ran out.

That was my first thought too but they have PB chips, so that can't be it.

Sounds to me that they are still offering peanut products but cutting back on the quantity. Just a thought, but who knows anything is possible these days.

Ya the last time I was at Goofys....probably 1 year ago they did'nt have PB cup topping either and when I asked they told me it was not an option. Obviously that CM was misinformed as you have gotten them there since then. I'd take it with a grain of salt sometimes I really don't think they know what they are talking about.

Caramel and Peanut Butter Cups sounds like the perfect combination. That's so sad that neither are there anymore! I'm very excited to try Goofy's Candy Co. the next time I go, but by the time June rolls around, they may be down to just pretzels and chocolate!
