Anyone have any comments regarding Goofy's Beach Club Breakfast. We have never tried this before and we are looking for a new character meal to experience!! The menu on Allears.com looks good (since there are six of us with different tastes, buffets are the way to go!!!). :cool1:

Would you plan this breakfast on an EPCOT or MGM day?!? What is the best way to travel to these parks from this restaurant?? :confused3

Thanks!!

We've done the Cape May breakfast buffet several times and found the food to be good. Sometimes we have done Epcot first, then walked over to the BC for a late breakfast. You go through the International Gateway. Then you can walk back into Epcot and do the World Showcase.

Cape May is convenient to both EPCOT and MGM. I have had breakfast there several times but not since 2002. EPCOT is a five minute walk while MGM is about a 15 minute boat ride or a 20 minute walk. The food was always plentiful and good. The price was pretty steep, however. Especially since we had younger kids at the time that may have consumed a little bit of eggs, a doughnut and a glass of milk for about $15 a head plus tip and tax.

The breakfast at the Cape May Cafe is my favorite character breakfast (even if they don't serve roast beef hash). I've eaten there several times, and I have never been disappointed. The selection is fantastic, and the food is very fresh. They usually have a specialty omelet that is very yummy.

It is very convienent to both MGM and Epcot, as the previous poster said, just five minutes to Epcot, and 20 to MGM. A nice walk is always a good thing after stuffing your face at a character breakfast :)

Enjoy!

do they play Beach music?
I imagine the characters dressed in their beach wear is fun in the summer

We were just there for breakfast on Friday Feb 4th. We really enjoyed it, the food was good and we got plenty of time with Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale. They were all wearing beach attire but I don't remember what music was playing. Here are a few pics...

I really like this character breakfast...it has a very relaxed feel to it. You might want to consider making a PS, because when we went, in the summer, it was extremely crowded and we needed 48 hours notice for the PS. Enjoy!

Have done this one a couple times and it is great fun. Have never had it too crowded (although it's because we usually stay at YC and go to an early breakfast) and service has always been good. My favorite thing about this is that the breakfast is a buffet (so you can pick and choose what you want) and not a pre-plated meal, like at so many other chracter breakfasts.

Shelby: Thanks for the info and posting the pics!!! I am a heavy duty Disney scrapbooker, so characters in different clothing really spark my interest!!! ;)

MusicMom: Tomorrow I start my PS phone calls (90 days out!!!). :cool1: I am a FREAK when it comes to planning our WDW vacation!! This seems like the perfect "new to us" character meal to try on our upcoming trip!!! I may schedule this breakfast for my DD's birthday, she will be 16 during our trip (5/10) and her park choice is MGM :wizard:. The boat ride seems like a GREAT treat!! :boat: (Although we have NO COMPLAINTS about the busses!!)

Thanks to all for replying!! I knew I would get the information I needed from my DISbuddies!!! :disrocks:

Thanks again!!

Funny you should mention your 16-year-old's birthday...all my kids (including college son) were along for the Cape May breakfast and the two older kids had as good a time as my younger one. At first my son resisted the idea of a character breakfast (uncool), but at the end he was "hugging the plush" as he left. There's something very laid back about the place, and although it is fun and exuberant, it is not as kiddy-ish as some other places. Enjoy your Mickey waffles!

My mom and I really enjoyed our breakfast there last month. The food was good and the characters were very friendly to just the two of us. Also, my sister and her family went for my niece's and nephew's birthday in November and the servers and characters made a fuss over them that the kids really enjoyed. Have fun!

Ok, I am in the minority, I thought that the food was just ok, maybe because we had a later ressie?
