DAY 13 - 27th December 2005
Weather Report: Sunny and Warm.
Magic Kingdom and Dinner at 'Ohana
We arrived at the entrance to Magic Kingdom at around 9:30am and the crowds were already building.
On entering the park we headed straight to Space Mountain to get FPs. The return time was already 12:45pm!
Following the theme of trying things we hadn't done before, we ran naked across the park - only joking
We actually went over to Tom Sawyer Island on the rafts.

We found the Island quite a hidden jem! It was great walking round the trails on the island. Exploring the caves and the fort. We loved the barrel bridge - although when I got on it tended to sink a bit too far!
We spent a while sitting in some rocking chairs and watching Big Thunder Mountain. You almost forgot you were in the middle of Magic Kingdom.
All the walking round the island made us hungry, so we headed over to Peco Bills (have you guessed that this is my favourite yet?).
Dining Review:
Me - Double bacon burger with fries. As good as ever
Nic - Double bacon cheeseburger with fries.
JUlie and Jade - Burger with fries.
Drinks - cokes
Total cost - $36.77
After lunch we headed back over to Space Mountain to use our FP. The standby line stretched right back to the Astro Orbiter!
When we came out of SM the park was getting really crowded, so we devided to make the most of the sunshine and head back to the hotel pool.
We got a Daily Mail from Daisy's Garden shop in the Dolphin and headed out to the pool. The headlines in the paper were all about the bad weather and petrol shortages back home - seemed like a million miles away as we relaxed in the sun

As Julie relaxed and read the paper me and the girls went into the pool. Our swim was cut short though when the life guards told everyone to get our of the pool due to and 'accident'. Turned out to be a 'toilet' type accident - not something you want to come face to face with while swimming LOL
Once the sun started to go down behind the trees we headed back to the room to change for tonights dinner at 'Ohana.
We caught the bus to MK, then transfered to the resort monorail to get to the Poly. As we were a little early we looked round the shops, thew pool and the beach. The pool at the Poly. must be warmer than the Dolphin pool, there were still folks swimming!

We were seated quite close to our 6:50pm ADR at 'Ohana. We had a table looking out at the castle in MK.
Our server, 'Ed' was the same one we had in 2003 - and we didn't like him then either
After ordering cokes all round, we were brought the first round of starters; salad, wonton chips and dips. The sald was very nice, but didn't think much to the chips or the dips.

Next came plates of chicken wings and sweet 'n' sour shrimp.
I don't like shrimp, so I had a plate full of chicken wings.
No sooner had we started to eat the starters when our server came back with clean plates - I got the impression they were rushing us!
We were still eating the starters when the first lot of skewers were brought round - pork and steak with the new potato dish and stir fried veg. Our server then vanished. Even though we never had any turkey or the sausage. When he finally appeared he asked us if we wanted 'more' turkey! He seemed put out when I said we hadn't had any turkey yet! We then had to ask to get more pork and beef.
The dessert was OK, but I'm not a big fan of bread pudding.
I was not impressed with the setup at 'Ohana. We much prefered the old way with the lazy Susan in the middle of the table. I prefered the old menu too with the rice and green beans. The server didn't help either!
We did not leave a very big tip.
Dining Review:
All - 'Ohana set dinner. Don't think we will be back.
Drinks - cokes
Total cost - $88.58 (with DDE discount).
After dinner we headed back over to the MK. We saw Philharmagic again and then watched the Holiday Wishes fireworks again.

After a quick look round some shops we took up a position in Liberty Square to watch Spectro Magic. We had no problem finding a good spot, the Square was deserted!
After the parade we headed back to base
