So my wife , daughter an myself are eating at Chef Mickey last Wednesday. They start playing the song where you get your napkins an spin them in the air. Well at the end of the song Goofy was walking out of the area where the handicap restroom is. Goofy starts to lower his napkin still flinging it around the napkin in his left hand an pow. He pops this guy on the left cheek, just below his eye. I was like OMG did i see an hear that. It was a loud crack. A short time later several managers came to check on him. He refused any medical treatment. I can say you cannot blame Goof. He has very limited vision. But man it was a loud crack.

Poor guy. Hope it really was one of the times the sound was worse than the hit

Though I gotta say, your title is a bit alarmist, or something. Reminds of something the tabloids would do to get you to buy a paper only to buy it and read the article and learn it was a mistake or accident. Goofy "accidently" hit a customer is way different than Goofy hit a customer. Though maybe I'm the only one that thought that

Well, he hit a customer. Whether by accident or not... so the title is valid IMO.

I'm sure there's plenty of CM stories out there that they've wanted to lay the smackdown on a guest or two... lol...

I'm sure there were plenty of guests that needed a smackdown as well. :)

Just waiting for the inevitable lawsuit to follow, seeing as this country is sue-happy over anything and everything.

I mean yea.. the title makes me hope to see a video of goofy knocking out a rude customer. But in the end the title is true. He hit a guy. Why not just enjoy the story and stop complaining about the title. Lol.

Oh come on. Did anyone really believe Goofy decked someone?

Goofy isn't real. There's a person inside the costume with emotions just like the rest of us. So yes, when I saw this thread title I thought the CM playing Goofy lost his/her cool and hit someone on purpose.

Well, I'm sorry you were disappointed. The odds of someone in the Goofy costume decking someone were low enough that I never expected that when I opened the thread. It's pretty much exactly what I expected.

Perhaps the title should have mimicked the links for all those clickbait articles. Something like: "One man was enjoying a special family vacation at Disney World. Then he got hit by Goofy" or "Goofy goes wild at Disney restaurant. You won't believe what happens next".

I've been to Chef Mickey's on occasion. I wouldn't be shocked if someone told me that something like this happens daily - it can be a bit chaotic with all the people moving around for the buffet, the wait staff, the characters and the kids.

Honestly, yes. When I saw the title of this thread I thought the OP was going to tell where Goofy purposely decked someone, because they odds are so low that it would ever happen. The low odds are what would make it a story. While shocking without a doubt, I'm not naive enough to believe that a character would NEVER, EVER, hit a customer, if provoked enough. And there are people out there that could provoke enough on purpose, to get a reaction.
As a PP said, I'm not surprised if we learned that this happened, to at least some degree, at CM regularly. Goofy accidentally hitting a guest while doing the regular napkin dance at CM is not an incident to me. Goofy acting incorrectly and accidentally hitting a guest is an incident. But in this case it sounds like Goofy was doing his role at the meal, not acting "goofy" or out of line.
