So, here's a little background to follow up:
We were originally going to travel in March to WDW, but my DD(11) got an invitation to play with an all-county orchestra right smack in the middle of our planned trip, so we had to change gears and ended up going the week before February break. I am an unemployed school teacher, so I was determined to make this year's trip when it was NOT a school break to avoid the crowds and the higher airfares.
Sooo...it ended up being the shortest planning time I have ever had for a trip...we found out about the orchestra gig in early January...so yeah...I'm usually planning at least the 180 days out, if not more.
Here's the Goofball cast you saw in the video:
Mama Goofball a.k.a. "Me" (MG from here on out in this TR): a 38-year-old Disney nut who drives her DH crazy because he is "dying" to go somewhere other than Disney...ummm...he really looked tortured in that video, didn't he...hmmm....
Daddy Goofball a.k.a. "My DH" (DG from here on out in this TR): a 39-year-old small business owner and Chief of our local Volunteer Fire Department who has to leave town in order to truly relax. And he wants to go somewhere other than Disney for our next vacation. And he truly believes that I manipulate the situation every year to make it so we end up at WDW...ahem, let's change that subject, shall we??
Goofball 1 a.k.a. "My DD" (G1 from here on out in this TR): a 13-year-old megastar of a daughter. She's every parent's and teacher's dream. Her one downfall: her love of the dramatic, lol She is a Disney nut herself and has since convinced all her friends that she not only will work at WDW someday, she will be able to talk DG and I into traveling with ALL her friends to WDW at some point...oh, if I won the lottery...I would!
Goofball 2 a.k.a. "My DD" (G2 from here on out in this TR): an 11-year-old superstar. She's the most laid-back and funny kid...and is annoyingly good at almost everything she tries...without trying...and that's why she's annoying. LOL She loves Disney, too, but leans toward DG's way of thinking...she wants to use her surfing skills somewhere other than Typhoon Lagoon..
Dates of travel: February 13 - 20
Plan of Action:
Fly to MCO on the first flight out on Sunday.
Rental car for the week.
Lodge first in a 1BR at the WLV, then move to a Residence in on Friday.
Soak up all four parks and see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter before flying back home late the next Sunday.
DDP to fill our stomachs
Relax, laugh, and make those memories...
