I happened to go to our Goodwill Sat and they were having their 50% off sale! It seems they do this toward the end of every month.

Well if you have the patience to go through all the shirts you may be suprised at what you can find! I found many WDW shirts, in new condition. They were marked $3.76 and I got 50% off. Also found some dresses, all with the DISNEY label.

In the toys they had a bin of "McDonald's Type" toys. Here I found tons of Pooh, Tigger and Mickey Mouse toys. I had about 20 or so after I sorted through the pile. These were 50 cents each at 50% off. Can't beat 25 cents! I plan on setting these out at night so the kids have a new little toy every morning to keep them occupied as we get ready to go and also in the car.

I also found a NEW Stitch stuff animal marked $4 for a total of $2.00!

With all this and the Fleece tops at Family Dollar I think I about have all my pre-souvineur shopping complete. One more stop before we leave to Disney store to check out Clearance rack.

At Goodwill I also got a brand new luggage bag marked $7 for a total of $3.50! Now I have a bag to bring all my good deals with us!

Thanks to the DIS boards!

I love Good Will!! They really have great sales and I used to stock my ebay sales from them and made a decent profit. I really do wish they would organize things better than by color...who the heck thought up that system, lol?

just thrilled when I found Disney Cruise wear for my little girls at Goodwill - I just spotted the cute sailor type Mickey dresses and when I looked closer I was they were bought on someone's Disney Cruise -- OH MY -- The dresses were $3.75 more than my usual Goodwill finds - but "hello" -- they are too big for now - but I couldn't pass them up

I wish they would at least seperate the men's and women's jeans!!

My only Goodwill complaint

I found a Disney Cruise Line beach bag with the price label still on
(but with the price cut off)

also Ive found different mugs from various resorts for about 0.50

(im collecting them not to use them!!!;)

My 12yr old DD does all her shopping there. She loves that the jeans are already "broken in" and she loves getting Limited Too stuff....which we normally can't afford. She got 8 pair of pants/jeans and 5 shirts for $32. All name brand stuff! That's my kind of shopping!

I agree about the organization...is it organized? I know kids section, womans, mens - that's about it for organized in our Goodwill. I have to be in the mood to go there otherwise it gives me a headache.

Those are awesome finds!:earseek:

I'm really happy for all of you to find such terrific things. I better get myself to my local one ASAP. Wish me luck!

I love Goodwill also. I will have to start looking for Disney wear when I visit w/o my DD. I am looking for little Disney trickets to give her and my younger cousin for our August 2005 trip.

I never even thought of Goodwill!! I have one right down the road.. I do ebay so I think I will run that way this week and see what I can find.... Thanks for the heads up!

I have a blast at Goodwill! Its like treasure hunting! Some of my finds there have included...Disney frames, some great frames for my lithos, a ceramic Grumpy marked disney, an old black and white tin with Main Street on it, Disney resort mugs and Epcot glassware, new with tags shirts/sweatshirts, a great PRINT of Donald and the best one yet was the sealed box set of Fantasia. One persons junk is anothers treasure! :) :)

I usually don't have any luck there. Well I decided to see if there was anything I could ebay the other day. I didn't find anything BUT I did find an MGM Studios 25th anniversary glass for .99. DS was very impressed.

We don' t have a Goodwill here in town, but there is one that is in the next town not to far away. Plus there is also a HUGE Salvation Army thrift shop. I was in there once and found all kinds of stuff from name brands that had tags still on them to furniture. Of course at the time I had no money..... :( I think I am going to hit Goodwill and the Salvation Army and see what they have. Christmas is going to be very *tight* this year. Plus the way DS grows out of his clothes so quickly and DD getting paint on hers at preschool, I don't see why I should pay retail price for clothes that are either going to get ruined or not be worn that long. And the money that is spent at those places go to some good causes!!

Plus I love going on a treasure hunt!!! Never know what you might find! Watching Trading Spaces, they go to Goodwill and the Salvation Army alot and get some really cool items.

Ay, will be hunting for treasure very soon!!! pirate:
