Some of the ads i'm getting on here are horrible. Sometimes there just like advertisments for Disney cruises and stuff but i've been getting some not so appropriete ones on there...Is this happening to anyone else? I really hate having to close the windows and stuff all becasue of the ads.

I haven't gotten any inappropriate ones. I have gotten ones un-Disney related, but that's about it.

I've noticed though that a lot have to do with keywords on the page. For example, I have the word "blackbird" in my signature, and I got an ad on a page I posted on about getting "Blackbird Ringtones"

I think it's like a google search to what ad would seem relevant to the page, but I could be (and probably am) wrong. Just my 2 cents.

We use to get really ones before we got pop up blocker.
Now we don't get any pop ups. Thank God!

that could be it. I was on the community board on a thread about migranes though and had one i would call pretty much almost very innapropriate. Some don't bother me but just that one irked me alot

That's how the ads are for me, too.
Like the ad on the Jonas Brothers thread is for a JB quiz, the ad on the contact thread is for contacts, the ad on the purses thread was to rent designer purses xD, etc.

That's how the ad's are, the ad's are powered by google and since google is a search engine, google searches topics from the various threads and presents an ad for that topic.

My ads, don't bother me.
I don't think there's much that could shock me, and I don't think it would really bother me that much.
I mean, it's an ad, I read the thread, I post or I don't.
I don't look at them all that often to be honest.

i always seem to get ones about losing weight...think they're trying to tell me something!! haha.


i rrely pay attention to the ads though so it doesn't bother me in the least.
you couldn't show me something on a dis ad that i haven't seen before.
(that probably sounds worse than i intended it to...)
