Hello everyone! :wave2:

For the last 4-5 years, I have made a "gift basket" for each family that we buy for at Christmas... I fill them with a variety of things - some geared towards each family, but I also try to find different food items each year.

One year, I found a company in New Orleans, and got lots of yummy snacks, including pralines. Last year, I found a great Chocolate shop that had lots of different candy molds.

One year, I filled them with unusual European candies.

I've also baked my own cookies, but I'm not sure how much time I'll have this year....

Do you have any favorite online "bakeries" that have a specialty that is "to die for?"

I'd love to find something new, again, this year! I've looked at Rachael Ray's "snack of the day" list - I've used one or two of those, in the past - but I'd love to get some recommendations from my DIS friends!

Thanks in advance!

I've found some neat things at World Market. Not an online store, but they have neat stuff (not necessarily baked goods though).
Since we're speaking of Toffee, my favorite is www.thetoffeehouse.com
Wow! delicious!!!:cool1:

Fantastic! Thanks to both of you for the great reponses!

I just posted this on another thread. Cheryl's cookies (especially the sugar ones) are to die for!

You could ship a box to yourself and then divide them up among your gift baskets. They come individually wrapped! They are soooo good!

I am a "theme" junkie. Seriously I have issues!!
I've done-
A relaxing evening (slippers, comfy blanket, hot chocolate and tea (or coffee) and a gift card to Barnes & Noble)
Ultimate Sundae (decorated Ice cream bucket with scrap paper, hot fudge sauce, peppermint sauce, mini marshmallows, cherries, chopped nuts, mini red and green m&m's, ice cream scoop, gift card for grocery store (for the ice cream), and a ice cream tree ornament (found at Walmart for less than $1.00)
Movie- Large popcorn bucket filled with caramel corn, large size candy, soda, and movie gift card.
A basket filled with those layered jar mixes. Cookies, beans, hot chocolate, dipped spoons, biscotti...just tons of jar mixes! I think they weighed 40lbs each!!
For teens I've done stewarts soda (they are pretty colors) skittles, starburst, nail polish, fashion magazines and pj bottoms (all matching bright, fun colors)
For Men- bottled beer, peanuts, sports magazines, beef jerky and cigars.
12 days of Christmas- Same items and tags that I linked in the traditions thread, but individually wrapped and mailed all at once in one box (12 days before Christmas of course! The Granparents loved this one!).
Journal jars- Pretty journal, pretty pen, a mason jar with 365 questions folded on strips of paper. Answer one a day and you have your memoir written in a year. You can google Journal jar for pre-printed question lists. (we did this for all the mamas on Mothers day)
OK enough from me. Clearly I need some "theme overload' therapy! My poor family, they will just never get a "normal" gift!!!
