I would love to make goodie bags for my 2 daughters and son for our next Disney trip, but I am not creative at all. Does anyone have ideas of what I should put in them and also what I should use as a bag?

I am doing this for my boys
I have printed out hershey nugget wrappers(from telynn i believe) and some lollipop covers(Sorry but i forgot who made them.) I also found mini etch a sketch's at toys r us. One is buzz lightyear and the other is Cars. I am going to put some color wonder markers in the bag as well as color wonder paper that i am going to cut in half to fit in the bag. I also saw some Disney stickers at dollar tree that i am going to pick up next time i am in that area. Dollar tree has all kinds of cool things that are disney!
Also i am going to put in M&M tubes filled with change for pressed pennies! my oldest loves to do those!
I am not sure what kind of bag to use yet, but i know mine HAS to be small. I was thinking of maybe doing a lunch bag. Not the brown ones though. The kind that you find with the wrapping paper and bags that are colored. Red for my oldest. that is a must lol he loves red!

Here is a thread from a mom that has really cute Disney bags that she did that includes pictures of the bags and what she had inside.

She said she got her bags at the disney store for around $8-12

You could make journals from Natalie:

You could make autograph books from any one of several great DISigners including Natalie and:

http://s226.photobucket.com/albums/dd181/Chaos1Cent/?start=0 (Penny)

Walmart has small photo books (the kind you slip 4x6 photos in) with Disney Characters on them and you could print generic cards for the different locations (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood, etc.) to go in them. Penny has some great blank ones for each park.

I found Mickey playing cards at my Walmart for Snap and Go Fish.

You could also make a number of candy wrappers from Telynn:

she has wrappers for candy bars, gum, life savers, etc.

There are so many wonderful things on this site that you can make to put in the bags!!!

Hope this helps!

wow those came out great! think maybe i'll have to make room for bigger bags for my boys!:rotfl: Wish i had a disney store near me... the one closest closed down last year:sad1: maybe i'll check online deals

If you can't find the "Disney" bags online. Most t-shirt shops sell blank bags just like those that are pretty inexpensive and then they can personalize them with the child's name. They won't be able to put anything on them that is "Disney". But you could hang a cute luggage tag off of it if you wanted to make it Disney.

You could also make personalized bag toppers and just fold the
brown bag and staple the bag topper on the bag,,I'll try to make an example to show you tonight after work.
I have a few Candy pockets under my thread that you could also use,,microwave wrappers and sucker wrappers.

I am not creative at all and I must be really dumb, but I don't quite understand the candy wrappers. Do I just print them off and glue them to the candy or gum? Also, how do I go about personalizing the journals and autograph books? Thanks so much!

I will try to go to the dollar tree this weekend to pick up some stuff! Where do you get the M&M tubes from? Thanks for all of the great ideas!

They are the mini M&M's and I found them at the checkout at walmart! Most every store has them...Someone does Disney covers for them(Natalie) I can't remember....wait here you go:

As for the sucker covers I haven't put them together yet. I just have them folded. I can't seem to find flat suckers anywhere!:confused3 But the nugget wrappers you just wrap them around the nuggets(some people use the mini smarties) and I am going to use double sided tape to stick them including the head and feet

Also: The nuggets are easy, just cutting them out is time consuming!:lmao:
But they get rave reviews! I did some halloween ones and everyone at my aunts wanted to know where I bought them!:rotfl2:
I can't wait til I do the actual Disney character ones. But I have 8 months to go. I am using them in my goodie bags as well as welcome bags for my wedding guests staying on property.

For the candy:
I use double sided tape...telynn has a lot of great candy wrapper designs that you print off and use to wrap around candy. For life savers...you cut it out, roll it around the life saver and tape it together. Same thing for the large candy bar wrappers. Very simple!!! Mel (she posted above) has candy pockets that are super easy and you can put smaller candy like m&m's inside. Again...all you do is print them out fold and double sided tape together.

Here is a pic for 12 stick bubble gum wrappers that I made (also Telynn's) she has similar ones for nuggets (the smaller candy bars - that are two bite sizes). Again you print and cut. There are three different pieces to these...you have to inidividually cut out body, face and feet for these. They are sooo cute and worth the effort. I made them to go with cards from Natalie (I think) that I will leave in the room for the kids to find at the end of the day if they were good at WDW. The cards are from different Disney characters and say things like...since you were so sweet...I left you a treat. TinkerBell.

Here is a pic of the cards and the roll towards the top in the middle is a life savor roll:

If you find something that you like that a DISigner has done...you can ask them to personalize it for you in their thread. But if you find a blank design and want to personalize it yourself. Copy and place it in your "My Photos" file. Then copy and paste it into word. Make sure your cursor is blinking below the picture. Then in word go to the tabs at the very top and click on Insert. Scroll down and click on textbox. This will put a huge textbox on your page. Move your mouse around and you will see it is an x. Place the x where you want your text box to be and you can click and drag it to the size you want. Once it is set you can still resize it by left clicking moving the corners and sides around. Highlight the text box by left clicking on the border (not in the corners or where the dots are). Then go up to the top of word and click on format and scroll down and click textbox. First go to the colors and lines tab (if it isn't the one open) and change fill color to "no fill" so that the the picture will show through the text box. Next change the line to "no line" so that there won't be a box around your text box. From there type whatever you want to go inside the text box. You can change the font and size of font like you would with any word document. Once you are finished typing you can move the image around to place it in the right spot and you can change the size by dragging the corners.

I did this to make all of the cards above. I downloaded a free font off the web called "Waltograph" and used it to add family members names to the cards.

Hope this helps!

here is a bag topper

right click on save and print off
cut out
fold in half
fill bag (baggie) with treats
using a stapler staple the folded topper onto the baggie

here is an example of a bag topper

Mel...I love the bag topper...it is great! Could you make one for me with Mickey Mouse characters. You don't have to personalize....I have too many people going in my family. :) Thanks!
