Goodie-bag exchange for DW anyone?

:thumbsup2 I will find out around 25th of the month. not sure presumptuous, as I already planned to have dinner at the other resort if it doesn't work out. You are very possibly correct! They may look down on it, or they may be okay with bringing some happiness to another resort too.. esp for a tip.

I can't imagine, with as busy as they are, that they will have the time or be allowed to deliver goody bags, especially to other resorts. It works well on a ship because it's close quarters and Disney CM's aren't expected to deliver the goodies.

Remember all of the issues with the fridge exchanges? The added handling charges for deliveries at convention resorts? While this exchange sounds so innocent, the added work for resort staff isn't realistic.

Not to mention the limits on which rental companies can drop off strollers vs having to meet the guest. Due to space and staff limits

we used window clings in the windows, no tape, and had the paint chips attached to post-it notes, which leaves no residue. of course, we thoroughly cleaned the door and window with windex before checking out. we would never think of not leaving a place as clean or cleaner than we found it. you could also use a magnetic whiteboard.

when we went back in 2006, we decorated the door and window of our pop room, we also tied a pencil on the doorknob and used lime green mickey head paint chips (post it note size) taped to the door and a sign saying hello, asking people to write where they were from, with my disboards name and our hometown. We got so many nice notes, and met some friends that way. Even mousekeeping got into the action, putting a row of towel animals in the windows with a note that said "hi!"

i love it!!!!!!

Window clings stuck to the door? they stuck to the front windows?

FYI. Disney world resorts have a free guest to guest transfer specifically for something like this. We were very successful. And it was a bunch of fun <3

I think individual groups are setting up individual rules.

In ours I made soaps, a Mickey apron, hand towels, glow stuff and dollar store fun toys. I received water bottle holders, magnets, bubbles, playdoh, coloring/art stuff.

I have done fe where it was 10$ or less as well. So groups will individually decide rules. We for sure went overboard but there also was a small group of 3

This all sounds cute and fun but taping things to your doors and windows create a maintenance nightmare when it comes to removing the residues. Those things bake in the hot Florida sun and leave their hard-to-remove adhesive behind. If I'm not mistaken, Disney started charging people a clean up fee if they had to spend extra time and money to clean up the mess. I remember seeing threads about it on the Resorts Board a few years ago.

Please don't tape things to your doors and windows.

We always decorate our window when we vacation at WDW. We use magnets for the doors, window clings, lights, small stuffed animals and bobbleheads! We always clean the window before we leave and put everything back in place. We would never leave extra work for the mousekeepers! Sad, I guess, that some vacationers do.
