*sigh* I got a call from my dd's teacher today. She was playing truth or dare with some boys at lunch and was dared to "rip" on another classmate. After some lies, and acting like she didnt care....got the real truth as to why this occured. It seems because she gets good grades and all the teachers like her, she is a being called a goodie 2 shoes. She decided to play with the bad kids to become cool.
Hmm after being grounded from tv, computer, and having to write 2 sheets of I will not lie. Hurting people is not cool. AND writing an apology to the boy (She has already said sorry to him)....she's realizing being a smart kid isnt such a bad thing after all.
She is my only child...and first time in trouble....And people thing it gets easier as the they get older
Oh btw...she's 10 and in 5th grade.

I havent been able to have another child since. So she is my one and only.
I hope we dont have another day like yesterday for a while. Im not foolish enough to say ever again.
It is a tough year. I find this year is the first year she is really feeling peer pressure. Thankfully my very good friend also has a dd in 5th grade(same school) so we stick together in our tough decisions-it's easier when you have an ally, yk? One of her good friends went on a date last week
The boy(who happens to be my nephew-but that's a whole 'nother thread, lol) took her to a restaraunt for dinner-the mom sat at a different table.
10 years old!!!! I told my dd 'don't even think about it until you're 14" Thankfully she's such a tomboy that she's not interested in that stuff....yet!!
