It's a bummer I'm missing this by a few days! The theme sounds great.

The first phase of this expansion, the all-new Smokejumpers Grill, opens March 20. This new quick-service location takes inspiration from the brave men and women who fight wildfires in our California forests. In addition to a whole new look, the location will feature an updated menu with tasty items like a Bacon Cheddar Burger, Grilled Chicken & Jack Sandwich and Chili Cheeseburger!

Cool! The artist pics look great! I'll keep an eye out for reviews, although I have to admit I was hoping for some BBQ items to come to this location to go along with the "Smokejumpers" name.

I wish it was earlier so that Paradise Garden Grill could go back to the skewers! :) We are going this weekend, and I'm bummed at the changes to Flo's and the Taste Pilot's takeover at PGG.

I think BBQ would go great with that theme! Maybe there will be some items like that on the new menu.

I like the artist renderings. Looks like the whole area will be much more cohesive with the grizzly peaks area. Excited for the changes!

Smoke=BBQ, right? All I know is this place can only get better in the food department.

Actually, in looking at the old menu, I'm not sure any of these items are really "new". They already had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich before(with Jack cheese), and they already had a Chili Cheeseburger.

We will be enjoying the re-opened GRR on the 20th, We may grab lunch at the new SjG. If so I will report back. I hope the re-do of Fly n' Buy is opened, but I doubt it. Our son loves planes and lamented that this store was closed even a bit more than Soarin' being down...

"will bring new building exteriors, landscape features and more to the former Condor Flats area. Lush pine trees will bring cool areas of shade, making our guests feel they have been transported to California’s High Sierras."

I like the sound of that...it gets hot over there!!

The menu does seem similar. We LOVE eating here and I love the "fixin's bar" with all the lettuce, tomatoes, etc :) Hope they continue that!!

Someone mentioned changes to Flo's? What changes? We LOVE eating there too...what has changed?

As far as the menu changing a while back, I haven't heard anything else.

Anyone who goes, please report back! So bummed it opens the day we fly home!

I thought that sounded like the old menu, too.

Well, I may be there on the 25th and will definitely be there on the 31st, so I will have to check it out. I kind of liked the old menu though.

I am excited by the concept art for the transformation of Condor Flats into Grizzly Peak Airfield. Condor Flats was a concrete blast furnace, and we spent as little time there as we could (only to grab a Soarin FP and then split until ride time came.) It looks like it will be much more pleasant now with plenty of shade - a nicer continuation of the foresty vibe by GRR and the GCH. So it will be a pleasant option to turn right when you enter down Buena Vista Street and perhaps we will actually hang out in GP Airfield.

I really thought they would open up a walk-way (with construction walls) through that area once GRR reopened. But Erin seems to shoot that idea down on the blog.

And now the grill is opening same day March 20th, right before peak Spring break too. It seems like they would want traffic going through there if at all possible.
