Goodbye MGM

Where did you get this information?

The name change has been an on-going rumor for a long time now and it hasn't showed signs of changing yet.

Well I suppose the contract is up. The Disney-MGM Studios will be renamed Disney's Hollywood Studios in January 2008. I'll probably still call it MGM for years to come though. lol

I heard that the name would be changed to the Disney-Pixar Studios. No matter what it'll be changed to if it's changed at all, I'm still going to call it MGM.

EDIT: Never mind, it is going to be changed to the Disney Hollywood studios. It's a good name but I'll still call it MGM.

no matter what, i'll never call the Living Seas "The Seas with Nemo & Friends"... EVER! that will always be Living Seas to me

We went last week and it's been about 5 years we came up to the thing that said "The Seas with Nemo and Friends." I'm like "Mom...are you sure we are going to the right place" lol...I'll still call it the living seas too.

Well it has been like that in most of the planning videos. Mainly due to other stipulations in the Disney MGM Contract, which deals with promotional materials.

It was called The Disney-MGM Studios. In 1989 MGM was still a powerhouse in Hollywood, so Disney partnered up with them. The contract is now up, MGM isn't as much of a powerhouse anymore. So goodbye MGM name.
