Its time for Figment to leave rhe Imagination Pavilion and be replaced by Inside Out's Bing Bong.

Lets face it guys. The movie industry is a hundred times greater than the theme park industry. Figment had been in the attraction over 35 years, yet more people in the world recognize Bing Bong due to a movie released 1 year ago.

Bing Bong themes perfectly and would bring something fresh to an attraction that has little attendance.

While I believe that the Imagination Pavilion needs an update, it's doubtful that more people would know a character from a movie that has been around for a year as opposed to a character that's been around as long as Figment. I don't see why they both couldn't team up to freshen the attraction a bit.

I don't see any reason that they can't do an interesting merge with Imagination and Inside Out. The theater where they used to show Captain EO, then Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and then Captain EO again would be a great place for an Inside Out 3D Film all about emotions, imagination, and your brain.

I would think being in Futureworld, or the facsimile of Futureworld, they could at least try to keep the theme and do something futuristic or at least of a learning nature.

HECK NO FIGMENT WON'T GO!!!!!!

While I know Figment needs a facelift I don't think they need to eliminate one of the few Disney World specific characters they have left.

Bring back the original or create a new ride but keep the character!

They also need to bring back the original ImageWorks which was an attraction on its own.

I have a friend that works between Figment and TT and she does not seem to think they would get rid of the character.

Seriously doubt that it's a 500-1 ratio as far as recognizability. Figment doesn't have an active FB page like some of the other characters, so it's not really a fair comparison.

That would be perfect.
I would hate to see Figment go, but adding Bing Bong to Figment- either to the ride or a neighboring attraction- could be a neat way to incorporate Inside out into the parks as well as freshen up that area.

Keep Figment, though I agree that the Imagination Pavilion needs a refurb. I am not opposed to an original Inside Out show going in the theater space. Inside Out was super similar to Cranium Command in a lot of ways so it fits in Epcot.

If they replace the current ride I'd wager it would keep figment and make imagionation 4.0

That said I'm still holding out for a 4d inside out film to replace Pixar short films

When I went on the UnDiscovered tour in Epcot last year september, our guide told us the rumour that the space above Figment might be used for something Inside Out-related. I haven't been back since, but that's not where Joy & Sadness meet, right?

Are we sure this post isn't trying to make a point about the Twilight Zone and Guardians of the Galaxy?

I'm always seeing new Figment merch--if he wasn't popular, wouldn't we see less of him (because demand would be low)?

Epcot has MORE than enough room and opportunities to add in an Inside Out attraction without ousting a beloved WDW-specific character who's been around ages now. To say Inside Out should completely replace Figment is crazy and there is really no reason for it. My beloved Epcot could definitely use a few additions. Not everyone who knows Figment would like him on Fb, and I'm sure Bing Bong's page has tens of thousands of likes from those who have never stepped foot in Epcot ever, so that's really not a sturdy metric for popularity comparison. As a PP said, new Figment merch is always coming out so clearly there's a fan base and demand for him.

I agree, interesting first 3 posts...
