We need to make ressies for somewhere in the World Showcase for one night. I want it to be yummy and somewhat entertaining for the kids.

I thought about either the biergarten or teppanyaki. Both have some type of entertainment, but am open to other ideas or opinions of these two restaurants. I want the kids to be somewhat entertained!

What are your thoughts?

Coral reef with the view of the aquarium and build your own sundae

San Angel - ride near the restaurant, water and volcano, sometimes a band is playing during dinner

Teppenaki does cook the food in front of you.

Not in the World Showcase, but the food at Chip & Dale's Harvest Forest at the Land and the Coral Reef at the Living Seas is good. The entertainment value of the aquarium at the Sea and the Characters at the Land makes them worth it.

The Princess dinner at Norway...I think they will like the Biergarten in Germany...they bring the kids up to dance with them!

My family didnt care for Teppenyaki and our chef was not entertaining at all. Beirgarten we liked. Lots of food for even picky eaters but the show is very short maybe 15 min if that. Still worth going for the kids will probably love looking around the restaurant I know I always do..lol

I vote for Biergarten....my kids loved it last year (at 3.5 and 17 months). Our older son actually went and danced with the other kids on the dance floor, and normally he is pretty timid. We're taking them back again this year for lunch, and I know they'll have a great time, again. Oh, and my now 5 yr old can be a pretty picky eater, but he found plenty of things that he liked to eat.

If your kids are picky eaters, I'd go with Coral Reef. Anything in the World is going to be not typical American. Very good but they will still have some "kid" food choices. My dd-9 isn't picky and likes all of the restaurants. However, I have heard and seen many unhappy parents with unhappy kids.

The problem w/Coral reef is that it is in future world. We're staying at the BWV and only have a few hours at Epcot, so we don't want to head down to FW and get the kids all excited. We wanted to wander around World Showcase for a couple of hours and have dinner and watch illuminations. I'm afraid if we head into FW, we won't have any time in WS and the kids will want to try and ride rides!

Alfredo's in Italy should have singing waiters at dinner. My oldest will eat spaghetti all day if I let her so that would be a good choice for our family. Biergarten does sound too though.

The TS in Japan is one of our familys favs...the chef will make a volcano out of onions and other little tricks, and the atmoshpere always entertains the kids, too. With the kids meal, they can ice cream at the end for dessert, always a kid pleaser. Just have to make sure the little ones don't touch towards the grill in the middle of the table, it gets HOT! Another nice thing is the food is realtively bland, you dip it into your choice of sauces, so they can have grilled chicken and rice , pretty bland without the sauces and kid friendly! Enjoy!

I vote for the Biergarten also. My 11 yo asks every year for this restaurant. It has a wide variety of food for her (she's a picky eater) and she loves the show. We ate a Teppenyaki last year and she doesn't want to go back. Our chef was not entertaining and she didn't like the "funky" stuff :confused3 I think that translates as vegeatables! My other choice would be San Angel. But I don't think you'll go wrong with the Biergarten!
