I just bought a new mp3 player today:) I'm so excited! I was wondering what everyone listens to to keep them motivated when they workout? So far I got the new Jet cd and some older music like Sugar Ray's Floored album, but I'm not sure what else....

Thanks everyone in advance:)

I love Outkast and anything from the 80's. My MP3 player was the best thing I ever bought for my exercise routine! It makes it much easier to get through that time! :) You'll love it! ::yes::

I have a mix of music on mine. Some songs make me push harder and some allow me to slow down. I have OffSpring, Drowning Pool, Tim McGraw, Linkin Park, music from the Festival of the Lion King, song from Aladdin, 2 Phil Collins songs from Tarzan.....and to many more that I can't remember. Plus I have a bunch of 80's songs and Enigma when it's time for cool down.

I love blasting the head phone with some old rolling stones and for a great worklout out some Limp Bizkit!

I have a weird mix for my workouts. It starts out with a couple Barry White tunes, then heads into Outkast, Will Smith and Shaggy. Then I mixed in some funk tunes from the 70's (Brothers Johnson, Earth Wind & Fire type sutff), followed by The Beasty Boys, Emimen, then the Bee Gees and Evelyn "Champagne" King with "Shame," and Vanilla Ice. It works for me! Actually, this one disc is wearing thin, so I think my project for this evening will be make a new mix for myself. This time I'm thinking some Motown mixed with some Buddy Holly. I also like Springsteen & Van Halen too. And 70's one hit wonders are cool (can you say I Think I Love You-Partridge Family) Anything that makes me feel happy and has good memories associated with it keeps me going. I like to try to sing while I work out to see how intense things are at any particular time. Have to go now and searc I-tunes; It's Hammer Time.:teeth: :yo-yo:

Oh, and Jimmy Buffett, as well as country drinkin/party songs are great too.

Diet Pepsi has the iTunes promo right now- 1 in 3 caps is a winner. I have a lot of good workout tunes downloaded and I need to burn a disc-
My favorites-
Put the Body In Motion- Start The Commotion
Hey-Ya, Outkast
Lose yourself-Eminem
Theme song from Raising Arizona
Iko Iko- Neville Brothers
Big Cheif- The Funky Meters
Deal- The Grateful Dead

Kind of eclectic but it works for me

There's a European band called Scooter who do these ridiculous records where they speed up other songs in the middle of loud techno things (don't know if you got the Logical Song which had supertramp in). If you try and listen to the whole album you go a bit mad but every so often on an exercise tape they really get you up hills - that and Build Me Up Buttercup by Clay Aitken - don't ask me why!
