Hopefully all our DIS'ers in TN and KY are safe, along with no property damage. Some early AM tonadoes rolled through, killing 3. Looks like more for later today also. Prayers and best wishes for all affected.

So sad about the deaths, Dan. I hope our DIS friends in those areas are safe.

That is so sad to hear about the deaths! I do hope all in the area can stay safe!

Helenabear, you will need to watch the news carefully, those storms are heading your way too.
There are tornado watches here until 6pm.

Stay safe everyone.

My weather alert went off about 2 AM for a tornado watch, and I know we might get some more severe weather this evening.

My thoughts & prayers go out to all of the victims of the storms last night. How awful.:(

Storms? I haven't heard anything about storms. The weather here in Knoxville has been very nice the past few days.

Has Brenda posted today? Stay safe everyone...I'm thinking of you all. We had some pretty bad storms in Memphis last night when we were there and I saw where it was headed east!

I slept through everything last night, but today the wind has been horrible.

Some rough ones went through Ohio this afternoon and early evening also. Hope all are safe. Prayers for those affected.

We've really had some rough storms this evening. My dd and I were headed to a small town tonight when the emergency broadcast system put out an alert. It was just for severe thunderstorms in the specific area we were just approaching. Within two minutes that storm hit us and we went from no rain to unbelievably heavy rains and wind. My dd was driving and I was never so glad as when we pulled into our destination. By the time I ran 40 ft to the building I was so wet I had to wring out my dress and pour the water out of my shoes.

Thank you, Dan. High winds here and one tornado was spotted, but our neighborhood is fine. Simba was hiding in the basement through it all, Cali was laying by the sliding glass door watching it.:D

Thanks for the update Dan. I hadn't heard that the death toll was that high.

How horrible.

My thoughts go out to all of those families.

Thanks for the update, Dan. I need to call my mom about the Cherokee county, AL fatality. My parents have relatives that live in Cherokee county. I'm sure if it was one of them, I'd know about it by now though.

Prayers for all the families.:(

Some very severe winds came through Georgia last night. In Pickens county there were several homes/businesses destroyed. One house on the news had the entire front ripped off--it looked like a forlorn dollhouse you could see straight into. Thankfully no one was killed in that storm. My prayers go out to all the people in the path of the storm. :(

Thanks Dan. Many prayers being said throughout Ohio today. Very tough night last night.

I hope everyone is well this morning.

Jen

My parents left yesterday in their RV. I am so glad they weren't here in all this. I worry about them living in that thing.
We are fine. It was a bad night but not like it was for many folks just west of Knoxville.:(

Oh my gosh. This is just so sad. :( :( We got some rain last night (I didn't even know until I woke up this morning), but no high wind. How very sad, scary and tragic. :(
