Hello!

I am writing to see if anyone has a good resource to use to find cheap tickets between the United States and Europe. Twice a year we buy tickets for Dh's mother to visit us from The Netherlands and so the time has come for us to start looking for good prices to book her Christmas trip over.

We have used http://www.kayak.com in the past and looked at the official KLM website (royal Dutch airlines) but I was curious if anyone else might know a good resource that I might not be aware of.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

There is no one magicaklly good sight that I have found. I run the dats/times i need through on kayak, orbitz, opodo (you'd want to go with www.opodp.co.uk I think), atc. Then I check individual airline sights for anyone that came up on the less expensive side of those searches. Our next trip we are flying Martinair (which is actually based in Amsterdam) as they had by far the best rate (about 430 Euro per person Frankfurt to Orldando). We have also flown Airlingus (Irish airline). Many of hte non US based airlines do not come up on the US based search engines (just the big ones like Lufthansana do), which is where opodo (or any otehr european based search) is good for finding more alternativs. Good luck.

You might want to ask over on the DIS "Transportation" Board too, lots of air experts over there :goodvibes

Good luck, hope you find a good deal :cutie:

Thanks! This is a good tip and I hadn't thought about checking that section out yet.

That's a great tip too. I was not aware that Martinair was out of Amsterdam! :thumbsup2
