Good Walking Shoes

Skechers slip ins for me and I always bring at least 2-3 pair to DL to rotate, changing once a day. Luckily for me, I have small feet and can order a girls size, not only cheaper but in all the fun colors and designs!

No Crocs for me...they stick to hot asphalt/pavement, causing a tripping hazard for us seniors....my DFIL who was suffering from Parkinson's nearly cried when we took his away but he couldnt lift his feet very well and was just shuffling along and nearly fell several times. I wore them years ago but even then, stumbled and fell in a parking lot. Out went theCrocs....which is a pity because they have a Snow White pair that is cute as the dickens...

I can’t do sneakers or socks - way too hot for me! What are your go to sandals for WDW?

Keen Whispers. I have four pairs in different colors, and I bring at least 2 pairs to Disney in the summer. They provide good support, good traction, and they can go through rain and puddles without any issues. My oldest pair is probably 15 years old and still going strong.

The lady at the grocery store said Skechers always made her trip and she will never wear them again
Has anybody else had this problem?
I can not wear sketchers at all. I love the styles, the slip in, but after a couple hours I developed leg and hip pain. It seems like my feet are tipping inwards when I stand. I have no problems with Hokas and Oofos.

I feel the same way about Keen Rose sandals. Been wearing them for well over a decade and they are my go to in the summer, especially at Disney World. Besides the features that CarolynFH mentioned, I like that the toes are protected.

I play tennis and the Babolot SFX3 (I am on the third and fourth pair of these now) and the SFX4 (similar - new styling and I have one pair of these) have been the first shoes where my feet aren't sore and don't feel tired after a tennis match. I like these so much that I bought a second pair for walking. And I wore those first two pair out (heavy use) and now am using two replacement SFX3s and one SFX4 pair for my 3-5 times a week tennis and for my walking around casual shoes. Everyone's feet is different, but except for my fuzzy slippers these are the most comfortable shoes I have found for me. I use a pair of these for theme park days.

For water proof shoes in the rain, I have a pair of Obos hiking shoes that are great. In general though hiking shoes are a little stiffer than tennis shoes, so I use the Babolot tennis shoes if I don't need something waterproof.

My absolute favorite shoe for Disney is the new Hoka Bondi 9. The heavy cushion saved me on the concrete recently and I also have a job where I walk on concrete floors for 8 hours a day. I went out and bought 2 more pair because I fear they will change them!

Agreed though, shoes are a total personal preference.

Has anyone tried Kuru shoes? They get some rave reviews but they’re a smaller brand so not as much info on them.
